Chapter 23Jase watched as Garrett’s boss took the now in awe Red and left for the kitchen while a few more people made their way toward Garrett to tell him how great he’d played. It was obvious that Garrett hated it. Every time someone said something nice about Garrett, his muscles tensed, and his complexion turned red. It was all very slight, but Jase didn’t miss it. Jase wanted to get Garrett out of there. And not because of his reaction to all the praise. Jase noticed a lull in the crowd and whispered into Garrett’s ear as he grabbed Garrett’s hand.
