Chapter 2

Alice stayed quiet while Noah and Khai questions barking in rage and not letting Alice speak.

" Enough," Alice roared silencing her two best friends.

" You two have to let me speak," Alice barked and became quiet as her servant entered the hall with refreshments.

" I'm sorry, Alice. We didn't realise we weren't letting you speak," Khai muttered and Noah said,

" Tell us everything. We are listening,"

" Okay," Alice sat on the couch flipping her red colour hair which resembles the late Luna Anna's and grabbed a glass of juice from the table. Then gestured for her friends to have which they did but didn't drink as they waited for Alice to speak.

" After Anna's death... I was mourning for her so much that I didn't give much attention to Brad. So I was with Chloe volunteering in Memorial's hall when I felt a pain... Cheating pain that I collapsed," Alice took a deep sip from her drink to sallow her crying voice. While Noah and Khai tighten their grip on the glasses.

" Dad took him to pack police and everyone got involved. No matter how much they force him... He isn't accepting my rejection because he can die from it. So for days, he cheated on me till I slapped him first... Then he raised his hand on me. That's it," Alice looked at her best friends waiting for questions.

" How can anyone let him stay with you? This never happens," Noah spoke up first.

" Pack isn't the same after Anna's death. You guys just came here for the first time after Anna's death so you guys don't know the changes," Alice muttered finishing her juice.

" So Aston is barely doing his duties as Alpha. And Liam is handling Alpha's duty and Beta's duty at the same time. He is also taking care of Sophia and doing her duties... Oliver and Chloe are helping them also while doing their responsibility. Basically, everyone is doing everyone's work and the system has fallen down," Alice answered.

Noah was quiet as he hadn't been told about this while Khai asked,

" How was Brad forced to accept your rejection?"

" He was offered to either choose his work or accept the rejection and stay unemployed forever in the pack," Alice answered avoiding looking at her friends' eyes.

" Why are you letting him stay here?" Noah question.

" I... Before cheating me, he tricked me into signing away half of my wealth to him if we rejected each other. When I found out about this... I can't let him have my money," Alice answered.

" And he didn't face any consequences for tricking you," Khai asked taking his first sip to calm his anger down.

" No. The pack's system is messed up now," Alice said.

" When will he come?" Noah asked taking out a gun and knife.

" At night... I can call him to come," Alice said happily as she understood what her best friends were going to do for her.

Then she went to her room to call Brad while Khai pats Noah for his attention and asked,

" Are we going to...," Khai acted his finger across his neck making a funny face.

" No, we will him believe that though," Noah smirked.

" He will come here in five minutes, " Alice entered the hall to inform and requested,

" If it's possible for me to stay with you guys for a few days,"

" You don't need to ask, Alice," Noah said.

" It's just... After rejecting him, he will try to take to back so it's better if he doesn't know where I'm," Alice explained with teary eyes and walked to her best friends for a group hug.

" When will we be leaving? I have to say goodbye to Mom, Dad and Chloe," Alice asked breaking the hug.

" Well, in twenty-five minutes we have an appointment with Aston and after that, I will be meeting Mom and Dad," Noah said while thinking and said,

" We will be going in an hour,"

" Okay, then I will start packing and consider it your house," Alice muttered going to her room.

Entering the room for the first time after she suffered the pain of betrayal. She took a shake her head in an attempt to forget the memories.

Walking to her walk-in closet, Alice's servants entered the rooms while bowing one of them spoke,

" Alice Maam, you should tell us what you want and we will do it,"

" It's fine... It's the last time, I'm here. Help me to pack," Alice muttered taking a bunch of hanging clothes at once and keeping them on the couch in the closet.

Alice's servants gathered all the belongings while two went out to take suitcases from the storage room.

After the side of closets that consist of Alice's stuff was empty. Alice realised none of her belongings were brought with Brad's money. Then she bitterly smiled as Brad couldn't afford her expensive things so she still used cards her Dad gave her.

" Maybe it was our expenses that made him mate with another she-wolf," Alice's wolf, Flora whined.

" No! He cheated because he never loved us," Alice shouted at her wolf spirit. Then he glanced at Brad's side of the closet.

After they completed their mating process, she gave him a credit card temporarily but he never returned. In fact, he still used to buy expensive clothes.

Alice released a growl and ordered her servant,

" Make sure Brad doesn't come here after he is kicked out. He doesn't have rights to any of the things he brought from my Dad's money. So make sure he doesn't get those,"

" We will make sure," The servant promised.

Alice went to the guest room she was using after the pain of betrayal. She opens her side of the drawer to take a document which states Brad trick Alice into signing the property document.

Rereading the document, Alice calls her Dad.

" Hey, Dad," Alice greeted cheerfully.

" Did he accept the rejection or did he sign the documents?" Alice's Dad asked happily after hearing Alice's cheerful voice after a long time.

" Not yet... Noah and Khai are here. And they will make sure, Brad accepts and sign the document, " Alice informed and questioning wary,

" Will this document stop Brad from taking our money?"

" Sweetie, we have a video confession also. With these two, it's enough for him to be put in the cell," Alice's Dad said.

" Don't put him in the cell... That's my parting gift to him," Alice muttered.

" You don't owe him anything," Alice's Dad objected.

" I know... It's my decision. Please don't fight or try to change my mind," Alice muttered.

" Okay," Her Dad responded.

" Dad, I will be leaving with Noah and Khai to the human territory for a few days... I would love to have a change of environment," Alice lied as her Dad won't allow her if he knows she is going to hide. He has enough resources to protect her but she doesn't want to burden him.

" That's good for you... When will you be leaving?" Alice's Dad asked as he walked out of his office room so he could meet Alice.

" Noah said in an hour," Alice answered and her Dad quickly responded,

" Your Mom and I are on the way to meet you. I will bring guards to kick that mutt out,"

" Okay, Dad," Alice mumbled and cut the call.

She walks out of the room to inform Noah and Khai about the documents. As she entered the hall, she was surprised to find Brad beaten up and his face was almost unrecognizable.

" Say it," Khai barked pulling Brad's hair up so he could face Alice.

" I accepted your rejection," Brad whispered in pain and Alice clenched her chest. Noah quickly went to her side to prevent her from falling down.

" Make him sign this," Alice blurts up in pain handing the document to Noah. He helped Alice to sit down and went towards Brad.

Pulling a pen from his leather vest, Noah showed the document to Brad to sign. Khai held him in a choke-hold making Brad sign so he could breathe.

Noah took the document and went to hand it to Alice who muttered,

" Thanks,"

" I will tell the Alpha," Brad barked as he was getting slowly healed from the beating.

" Tell him. He will support me, Brad," Alice shouted as she was feeling better now.

The sound of the door being opened was heard by everyone and a voice followed,

" Alice,"

" Mom," Alice called out walking to the door. But her Mom enters the hall and she opens her arms as she walks to Alice.

" I came as soon as your Dad told me everything," Alice's Mom mumbled pulling away from the hug. She holds Alice's face seeing the faded bruise.

" Take care of him," Alice's Mom ordered looking back at the five bodyguards. They walked to Brad and carried him out.

" I'm free as a butterfly, Mom," Alice shouted feeling free.
