Eight The day grew darker as the clouds rolled in, the bright sun that shone down on their kiss now hidden behind a blanket of somber gray. Malik found he didn’t mind so much, because he could also feel the approaching moisture, the rain that would bring some relief to Southern California’s parched hillsides. He’d told Leila that he wished to take care of all the preparations, and informed her that she’d have to find something to amuse herself for a few hours. Doing so didn’t appear to be much of a hardship for her, because she’d gone exploring and discovered that the house possessed its own movie theater, a little jewel box of a viewing room that could seat up to twenty people. Of course the two of them had no need to accommodate that many, but it was still enough to keep Leila occupied
