I found myself crawling into Ezra’s bed, even though he hadn’t returned from his alpha duties for today. He linked me and told me he would be late, so I shouldn’t stay up for him. I hadn’t even thought about going to my old bed to sleep, even though Ezra wasn’t here. His bed felt like home to me, and it wasn’t until I was already under the sheets that I realized I had come in here like it was natural.
It was natural. Ezra was my mate. Officially and wholly, he was mine, and I was his. It made sense that this was my bed now, too.
That thought was comforting, and with the exhaustion I felt from running more than I should have, I fell into sleep quickly.
