{Nico’s pov} I stood by the window, watching the rain smear across the glass. The city below was dark and slick, streetlights stretching into long, crooked reflections on the pavement. My jaw ached from how hard I had been clenching it. I forced myself to loosen it, but the tension settled deeper, curling into my chest instead. There was too much I did not know.
