Chapter 3 The mystery girld Episode

Two months later. Alex It's amazing how fast time goes by, I couldn't believe that it had already been two months since I had found out that she was unfaithful to me, for me just yesterday Shannon and I were lying in my bed, snuggled up against each other, but no, she had had the wonderful idea to cheat on me, that being the reason why I put an end to my relationship with her. Sometimes that fact was a bit surreal, and remembering it still hurt and I cried a little. The best thing I could do to recover was to keep myself busy and that was what I have been doing these last few months, I have been keeping myself very focused on my two jobs, just now I was at the bar, which was my second job. I let out a sigh full of exhaustion, as I scanned the place with my eyes, the led lights were shining brightly against the dark walls, making a great contrast, and the music was booming against my ears, making my exhaustion a little stronger. I looked away from the dance floor and focused on my long legs, they hurt a little for all the time I had been standing, this shift was becoming unbearably long, so I turned my wrist to look at my watch, when I saw the time marked by the hands I let out a sigh of relief, there were only 30 minutes left to finish my shift, just 30 minutes more of torture and I would find myself in my small but comfortable home resting. Today was Friday so the day had been quite busy, I looked around again and noticed that strangely at this time the bar was almost empty, surely the customers left to go to the new bar that was on the corner, and the drinks were of poor quality, so for that reason, they were much cheaper, my boss would not be very happy with that information. Since the place was empty I allowed myself to fix some bottles that were under the bar, when I was in the middle of the process I heard the door open so I stood up again to attend to the client or customer that was approaching, when I looked up and saw what person was entering through the door I was breathless… She was an extremely beautiful girl, her body had protuberant curves, it was almost impossible for me not to go over her body with my eyes, her hips and thighs were very wide and I was almost sure that her ass had nothing to envy them, I looked up her body and I saw that her waist was the perfect size for her build, her front attributes were very tempting, her hair was jet black and it was so long that it reached her lower back, forming beautiful waves at the end of her hair, as she approached I made an effort to detail her face when she was just a few steps away from sitting on one of the stools that were in front of the bar, I could notice that her face and eyes were red, a clear sign that she had cried a lot. I don't know why, but when I noticed that I felt ashamed of my thoughts, this girl deserved to be treated with respect and kindness, so that's what I would do, I reproached myself for looking at her that way and I pushed those sinful thoughts as far away as possible from my mind. “Good evening, miss, what can I do for you?”I asked with a friendly smile on my face when she had already taken a seat on one of the stools. “Goodnight... ummm... You don't happen to have any issues, do you?” she said stuttering a little, from what her way of speaking told me, she had already been drinking alcohol. “No, we don't have any tissues, but we do have some napkins, would you like some?” “Y-yes please," she replied shyly, sniffling through her nose.” I looked for some napkins and passed them to her, she wiped her nose, she repeated the task, passing one of the napkins over her eyes, where she had a little bit of makeup smeared, when she was done with the task I passed her a small wastebasket, she turned a little red, but thanked me for the gesture with her eyes. I was dying of curiosity, why would such a pretty girl be crying like that? “Could I have a margarita, please?” she asked. I watched her for a moment, doubting if giving her more alcohol would be safe, she seemed to read my mind because she said, "Easy Grandpa, I've only had two drinks today. I didn't believe her, but as my boss always says "The customer is always right" so I prepared a delicious margarita cocktail. When she had it in her hands, she raised the glass and drank it in one gulp, I was totally surprised because she didn't grimace or anything, she just drank it as if it was water. “Give me another, please," she asked as she put the glass on the counter, "And if it's not too much trouble, make this one a double.” I again had doubts about whether to do it or not, but then she gave me a threatening look, I kept quiet and did what she asked me to do. We were repeating the same process for a long time, she drank the drinks in one gulp and I served her one after another until I started to worry about her, she was starting to wobble, and I was afraid she would fall off the stool and her pretty face would end up on the floor, besides the bar had a very strict policy of serving a certain amount of alcohol to customers. “Sir-serve me another one... Po- please” she said with a very funny hiccup, she looked adorable, her whole face was red, especially her nose and... her delicious lips... Which were colored by the alcohol, making them look a bit thicker and more tempting... That's enough Alex! What the hell are you thinking about? “I'm sorry, I can't serve you anymore," I said as kindly as I could. -What do you mean you can't? Or don't you want to?” she exclaimed angrily. “The bar has a very strict policy of how much alcohol can be served to the customer and you already exceeded that limit, I'm very sorry, miss," I explained. “Well, if that's the case, I'm out of here, I'm sure there must be a bar nearby that will serve me all the alcohol I want” she said, getting up from the stool, but as soon as she put her feet on the floor, she staggered, I acted fast and grabbed her arm so she wouldn't end up on the floor, as soon as she was stable she let go of my grip abruptly. “I don't think it's a good idea for you to go somewhere else in that state, miss," I advised her. “Leave me alone, you wouldn't understand!” she exclaimed. “Understand what?” I asked confused. “I need to forget about him and alcohol is the only thing that can make that happen," she shouted, and then burst into tears. At that moment luck played in my favor, my watch rang informing me that my shift was over, so I had the opportunity to take my mind off my work and approach the girl who needed my help. I poured her a glass of cold water as fast as I could, then I went around the bar and sat on one of the stools next to her, I passed her the glass of water and she ignored it. “But what do you want to forget? Or rather, who do you want to forget?” I asked without being able to help it. She kept silent, dried her tears, drank the glass of water between sips, and then deigned to look at me, first, she looked at my shirt where there was a small plaque with my name, and then she looked directly into my eyes when I looked back at her I was breathless, her eyes were a beautiful intense blue, with the darkness of the bar I had not been able to notice it before. “You wouldn't understand, Alex,” she said, as a silent tear rolled down her cheek. Hearing her say my name startled me for a few seconds until I remembered that I had a badge on my chest that said my name -dah! “You can't be sure about that, you don't even know me,” I replied, smiling sarcastically. “Exactly, you're a stranger to me, all the more reason I shouldn't tell you anything about my life.” “I don't think the same as you, I think that being a stranger to you is the perfect excuse to let off steam, we'll never see each other again in life, so you'll have nothing to be ashamed of -I explained with my great wit.” “Shouldn't you be working?” she asked trying to change the subject. “Nope, my shift ended a few minutes ago, I just have to wait for my substitute to arrive, besides the place is almost empty.” She analyzed me for a minute and then with resignation she said: “Okay I'll tell you, it all started when…” “Wait! Before you start telling your story, don't you think you should tell me your name? I think it's a bit unfair that you know my name and I don't know yours” I interrupted her. “You're annoying, Alex,” she said, rolling her eyes. “I've been told that a couple of times,” I commented while smiling mischievously. “My name is Lily, Lily Cooper, Happy?” “More than happy my dear Lily” I answered joking with her “Your name is very beautiful.” “Thank you,” she said, blushing a little, “Where was I? Ahhh yes it's true... It all started this afternoon, a few days ago my boyfriend Brett had contacted me the day before, in which he told me that he needed to see me, to talk about an urgent matter, the moment I read the message I got very excited, the last few days we hadn't been able to see each other very often, because we were both busy with college work, besides he was acting a little weird those last days, a little distant, so I thought he wanted to talk to me to sort things out because he missed me.” She was silent for a moment and I just watched her, her eyes were full of sadness, I wanted to snatch that overwhelming feeling from her being, even though I didn't know her, something told me that she didn't deserve to harbor that feeling inside her, something told me that she deserved to be immensely happy. “So, full of illusion and hope, I organized a date for both of us, trying my best to make everything perfect so we could have a nice moment together. While I was organizing everything I even started to fantasize about what he was going to tell me that was so important, I visualized him in front of me talking to me lovingly, as he did before, he asked me to move in with him, so we could spend more time together and strengthen our relationship, but the day of the date I realized that my imagination had gone much further, what he told me I had not imagined, not in my saddest dreams.” She stopped again, letting out a tired sigh, she seemed overwhelmed by her feelings, I could see how her eyes reflected sadness, pain, exasperation and at the same time confusion, my heart ached a little when I noticed all those emotions in her beautiful eyes. I didn't understand how I could read her feelings so well; she was a stranger to me! Even my friends couldn't read them so well, but what she was rubbing in those moments alerted me and for a strange reason worried me a lot. She looked broken, it seemed that at any moment she was going to fall to pieces on the floor, that alerted my overprotective side, I simply wanted to hug her tightly to keep her pieces together, preventing them from falling to the floor, it was a very strange feeling that I was experiencing at that moment and I could not explain the reason for it.
