Sorceresses Sirena pats Princess Vykirenia head, “There, there child. You mustn’t worry. For the alliance with the two kingdoms'll survive as long as you pick correctly. You'll see you are promised to Kingdom Oweghyn. There are two sons you can choose from. Alike they are but different they be. Your father must have explained that.”
Sheepishly Princess Vykirenia nods her head, she only knew of the promise but to have to chose that was news to her.
“Follow your heart. You'll know which to choose.” With that, the Sorceresses is gone, absorbing into the surroundings of nature upon a gust of wind. The wolf she rode receeding into the Forest of Sprites with a low warning growl.
Princess Vykirenia continues upon her journey entering into Dragon Dunes. Stepping lightly and carefully, not to disturb the soft ground that surrounds her. Rumor has been stated, Dragon’s often rested in the bright of day. She embarks upon a rock that is residing next to river that flows from the forest.
Taking reprieve, she sits on a rock over a gently flowing river, spooling her mind over what the Sorceresses has told her. 'Father probably never saw this coming.' Gently throwing pebbles into the river and allowing her to gaze beyond the rocks into the unknown. She knew Kingdom Oweghyn was close.
Brothers to choose from!
Fate of mankind rests upon this alliance!
Regardless she’d have to choose and someone will lose.

The scraping across the rock breaks her thought. A red and black dragon was making way to her, slithering across the rock like a snake. His yellow eyes blinking rapidly, 3 rows of bone like horns protruded from his skull. With no warning the red dragon begins spewing fire onto Princess Vykirenia’s foot. She kicks in fear but mutely screams as her body flushes with calm.
The red, blue, orange and some green hues of the flame travels in a swarming, wrapping pattern up her leg. Swirling around her midriff, over her right shoulder, across her clavicle, to travel down her left arm. It wasn’t hot to touch nor burning her. Her fear is gone, as if coaxed to believe she wasn’t to be hurt by this illuminating flame that is surrounding her. She could feel the passion of dragons’ life filling her.
Enveloping her like a boa. Quickly she stood as if she is to shed this orb of flames around her.her breathe hitching in her throat. A life force swirling to mindlinking with her and filling her with history, telling her a story in her mind.
Suddenly the flames seem to tighten around her, panic races through her. It felt as if she was suffocating then suddenly it flashed, blinding her. Searing pain blazed on her skin and she screams in agony. She fell to her knees as the pain ignited everywhere on her, the white light she could only see, the deafening sound of nothing and the scorching heat upon her. With that the flaming dragon is gone.
She fought to get her gloves off to see why the sudden burn was emulating around, through, and inside her. Her skin was hot as if on fire. Then she saw there on the top of her hand was the dragon's face, as if tattooed on her. Quickly she begins tearing at her boots and clothes. She could see the red and black hues of the dragon scales merging into a branding of color on her skin. Her heart is racing.
‘What the Hades? Why has the dragon blessed me?’
She could feel an inner calm building in her gut slowly spreading into her heart to her mind. Delicately she pulls her clothing back on. Slipping back into her boots, she could hear garbled voices. Strange sounds and a blurring vision that seem to allow her to see the dragons that hid.
She could hear thoughts, of them, the dragons.
She's the truest?
The guardian has been selected!
A young girl to watch over us...obtrusive!
We need a knight, not a young child!
She stood there in disbelief.
She could hear the dragons!
She could see the dragons!
Suddenly the ground begins trembling below her. Keeping her footing on the rock, not wavering from the pounding. As it continues she sees a dilapidated edifice to get higher on. Quickly she begins climbing only stopping with each shake of the earth as she held tighter. Finally at the top of the protruding structure she found the legendary Blaeddyn waiting for her.
"I see Draco has chosen you. A young
princess! A future queen in the making for Eladrierion! Draco has given you his life. You are now to be our guardian. It is not an easy task. You must put the Necromancer back into its realm. It mustn't collect our essences. It will only grow stronger then."
Princess Vykirenia fell to her knees, tears of frustrations threaten to spill over,
"What if I can't protect you? What if..."
Blaeddyn stops her ramble cry with snort,
"All these questions will never answer themselves if you don’t try."
He places his claw near her on the ruins.
She moves slowly underneath his protruding nail of his claw, noting how feebly small she is in comparison. Blaeddyn looks down at her as she takes hold to a tree with his electric blue eyes igniting he begins hissing, “You must choose whom you will have by your side when the time
comes. Fighters are needed!”
With that he was gone, flapping of his wings. The air fluttering and gusting around her, leaving her to hold onto the tree that had taken root in the cracks of the stone.
She knew the trip to Oweghyn was going to be needed and marriage was her only choice, the dragons have choosen her. Fairy tales have come true. Glancing down at her gloved hand that was now burning. Quickly she is pulling off the glove she could see the glow of red. Its yellow eyes seem to almost glint at her.
“For the sakes of Dragons, I will marry into the kingdom of Oweghyn! But you ... you have to not hurt so much.”
As she made her way down the ruins, she could hear the cries of the dragons.
Bless you guardian in your travels!
