I gasp as I hear something moving in the dark. I hear Erik behind me groan. “I kicked a rock.” He explains with annoyance present in his tone. I say nothing. I hate that tone he keeps using with me. But I suppose this could be how things stay between us. Ferron swings his torch to the side. “The tunnel is getting narrower ahead.” “We shouldn’t have come this way.
