Drive faster." Ken yelled as Susan diverted the car, cutting corners while kaira sat in the car, wishing all these were just a dream but who was she kidding? The feeling of Ken's lips on hers was still there and she was still reeling in the aftermath.

Ken almost jumped out of the car the moment he spotted Gina holding Xena and walking down the porch. "What do you think you're doing?" he asked, trying not to be loud so Xena doesn't get startled. "I'm taking my child with me,I really can't stand being in the midst of a murder and__" Ken carefully took Xena from her arm and passed her to Kaira.

Kaira took the little girl in her arms,moving away from the angry duo. "You shouldn't be here Kaira, come I'll show you to Xena's bedroom." Susan said, leading kaira inside the house,up the stairs.

"Wait up,what are you doing here? oh the rumor is really true?" Khloe asked, shaking her head sympathetically. "You really have no shame. do you know they're having a fight because of you? you're going to ruin Xena's chance for a happy family, just like you ruined the lives of those you murdered in cold blood!" Kaira's ears rang loudly,the words making loud echoes as she swallowed hard.

"Show me to her bedroom." she said loud enough for Khloe to hear. She knew she'd spit out something distasteful if she responded so she kept calm and followed Susan swiftly, leaving Khloe raging madly.

"You let her take my child with her? that maniac? tell me what if you find Xena dead?" Gina asked, yelling at the top of her voice. "The fact that you pulled her out of prison shouldn't make it enough to entrust our daughter with her. She was accused of murder and there has not been enough evidence to prove her innocence. she might not have done it but her finger prints were all over." Gina snapped, talking very fast.

"As far as I'm concerned,no criminal in his or her right mind would kill then touch each and every door knob in the hotel,no criminal would kill using more than one g*n but there were three guns at the hotel. Gina I'm giving you an open threat now. You've known about my plans of getting kaira as a wife long before now so if I find out you had a hand in framing her up, you'll pay for it." Khloe and Gina gasped, looking worriedly at him.

"You think I'd be so cheap to do that to her?" Gina asked, shaking her head.

"Ken get a grip on yourself, Gina can barely harm a fly." Khloe screamed at him, chuckling to herself. "Besides she'd never be so cheap to do that."

"Yes she'd never do something cheap like this but she can be desperate and desperate women do a lot of things." he fired thunderously, brushing his hair backwards.

"I'm going in and in the next ten minutes,be gone from my property." with that,he stormed into the house as Khloe rushed to hug Gina. "I'll give you a call tomorrow,we need to talk."

Susan assisted kaira in taking care of Xena and Susan watched in awe as kaira did a perfect job of cleaning and putting Xena to sleep. "Have you done something like this before? you seem so perfect." Susan asked as kaira nodded.

"My Aunt had twin daughters when I was thirteen, they're presently in middle school with their father but I took care of them whenever they came for holidays,I changed their diaper a lot when they were little too." Susan smiled, looking into kaira's eyes.

"I think you're what he needs right now,a cool, calm and collected lady. Try not to get on his bad side." Ken walked in, signalling Susan to excuse them as he walked up to the baby cot.

"I see Susan put her to bed. Come on let's get some rest." He said as kaira nodded negatively.

"I put her to bed and I need to go home,I can't spend the night here." he looked at her with a bit of surprise before taking on his dark look again. "I called your Aunt,she knows we're together." he announced as she walked over to the window.

"Was the fight about me? if I'm coming in between you and your family why are you pushing through with this marriage?"

"I want a stable family and you're the only woman who can give that to Xena. Gina didn't want a child, Xena wasn't a planned baby." She nodded and turned to look at him but gasped when she bumped into his chest. "I've been meaning to come close to you like this,with my arms wrapped around you." he whispered, nibbling her neck with his lips.

"What are you doing?" she asked, trying to look into his eyes but he'd held her captive in his strong arms. "This is how we're going to be this weekend, you should get used to it."

"Can I ask you a question?" she asked, turning to look at him. "Yeah."

"You're really interested in me, right?" she asked, clicking her tongue as he smiled.

"Then do this for me, allow me to face the people who think I'm a murderer,then we can look for the culprit together."

He smiled, grazing her cheeks. "Okay let's give it a try but I won't watch anyone harm or disrespect you."

The morning sun rays hit directly on Kaira's face as she snuggled deeper into the warmth of the duvet. Her hands crawled over the fabric and in two seconds,she sat up, looking around. Her heart had jilted but had come back to normal when she realized where she was. She'd insisted on sleeping in the guest bedroom and not ken's bedroom. She was still skeptical about being in a room or intimate relationship with any guy.

A soft rap resounded through the door before Susan pushed the door and walked in with Xena in her arms. "I'm really sorry to disturb but she's still burning up and she has been crying non stop since she opened her eyes." Susan complained,distress clearly shown on her face.

"Bring her to me, I know some things about babies and kids generally." She took Xena in her arms but the little lady just wouldn't stop crying so she walked into the bathroom and asked for a change of clothes for Xena. "What's wrong baby?" she took off Xena's soaked diaper, shaking her head as she chuckled.

"The clothes are right here, on the bed." Susan yelled so Kaira would be able to hear over the running water. "You're such a bad girl you know,you should have told me right away that you hated soaked diapers not wailing like this." she pouted her lips as Xena giggled, her hands and legs swinging in the air.

"She looks so happy." Ken said as kaira gasped, looking at her semi n***d body. she'd taken off her dress and was now in her under wear. "When did you come in?" she asked, passing Xena to him as she retrieved a bathrobe from the hanger. "You were busy when I came in." his eyes traveled down her body as she slid the bathrobe on and tried to keep a straight face.

"She's hungry,I'll bring in her food now."

"We could just stay like this, one happy family." he whispered into her ear, locking eyes with her through the mirror. "Tell me something. You're more interested in my body than the actual me, right or wrong?" she asked as he chuckled.

"We made a deal, this marriage or relationship is nothing more than a deal. I'll see you at breakfast." he walked out, leaving her in shambled thoughts.
