Unexpected

Greyson stood with the door open, leaning his shoulder against the door frame that he practically filled entirely. He had an eyebrow raised questioningly towards his father. And they seemed to be having a secret conversation, scratch that, they were most certainly having a secret conversation as they both broke out chuckling at the same time. Seeing them together I was surprised that I hadn’t immediately seen the similarities between the two.     “You’re keeping my girl too long, pops.” He said jokingly. “I need to get her to the library so she can finished what she needs to and I can take her on a proper date."     “Date?” Samuel asked surprised. “ You convinced this stubborn brute to take you out on a date?” He raised his eyebrows with an impressed look while pointing at his son. His look of surprise soon changed and he gave me a look of approval. I took it he too only ever saw the typical mated pair just go goo-goo for coco puffs and no questions asked take up a relationship with each other. No courtship necessary. Greyson gave his father a look that said 'Don't even start' as he took my bag and ushered me out of the door.     “If he starts telling you any embarrassing stories, they aren’t true” He said under his breath so his father wouldn’t hear. I made a note to ask his father about some of Greyson‘s more embarrassing moments so I would have ammo for any future needs.  Greyson walked me to the library and stayed with me while I did my homework, reading some Time Magazine that he had found sitting on another table. Once I had finished I started heading back to the shelves to put away the books I had used.      As I placed the last book back in its proper place I felt Greyson come to stand behind me, pushing his hips against me, his hands coming around to settle on my waist. My breath caught in my chest and unconsciously my back arched, pushing my ass against him and grinding ever so slightly as my lips parted to allow for me to get more breath in. I heard him chuckle seductively as one hand came around to my front to hold my throat as he tipped my head back, applying slight pressure to my airway. His other hand lifted the hem of my shirt to come up and lightly brush along my side, up to my breast. I felt my n*****s immediately harden as a result and released a low moan. How did he have so much power over me? His eyes never left mine and I wanted to beg, but for what? I didn't even know what I wanted, maybe for him to just keep touching me? What I did know for sure was that his display of dominance and how he exerted his control over me like this was one hell of a turn on. I felt like my whole body was on fire and one of my hands had come up to grip the wrist of his hand on my throat while the other had gone behind me to grab ahold of his hips and pull him harder against me. Suddenly, he let me go only to quickly spin me around and lift me up, my legs instinctively wrapping around his waist. His lips assaulted mine and at the first opportunity his tongue entered my mouth, wrestling with mine, his hands had come to grip my ass to hold me still as he grinded against me. The friction causing waves of pleasure to coarse through my body. The pleasure was building, but what was it building too? As I got swept away in the feelings of pleasure I must have forgotten where we were, but Greyson didn't. He suddenly put me back on my feet and cleared his throat. My flushed face looked up at him questioningly. he nodded his head to the side and I peeked around to see two girls standing at the end of the aisle way whispering behind their hands to each other.     "As much as I love watching the effect that I have on you, and hearing the sexy sounds you make," his hand brushed against one of my n*****s through my shirt causing me to gasp and bite my lower lip, " I don't want that to be a show for anyone else to see." He smiled, his voice still sounding raspy and deep with seduction. He bent down and nipped my lower lip. "Id suggest you not do that, it gets me all sorts of stirred up." He pushed away from me and put his hands on my shoulders to turn me towards the table where my bookbag still was and with a slight spank to my ass we went back and gathered my things and back to my dorm.     “See you in an hour okay?” He asked with a wink and a knowing smile.      I nodded before turning to walk up the stairs, my powers of speech still had not come back to me fully. Suddenly he was pulling me back to him, my back against his chest as his arms wrapped around my shoulders. I practically melted into him, my mind giving me flashbacks of what had already happened in the library.     "I hate to see you go, but it isn't so bad watching you leave.” I could feel him smiling as he said it, his breath against my ear sending, what I can only describe as delicious, shivers up my spine. His lips grazed the top of my head before he released me, much to my disappointment. I looked back at him and smiled, continuing my retreat into the dorm, and realized I couldn't wait to see him again and he was less than five feet away from me. Greyson showed up at 6:45 and was waiting outside my door. He had combed his hair back in a stylish wave type fashion, had a slight five o’clock shadow, and was dressed like one of those stylish clothing models you see in Macy’s adds or in commercials for perfumes. The man could clean up, I must admit. “Good evening my girl” and I found myself smiling at the pet name he seemed to have adopted for me. “Can I walk you to your carriage this evening?” He added playfully.     I nodded and put my arm through his. I giggled as I pictured a carriage ride through the Tacoma area, it just didn’t suit with the ambiance of the town. I was glad he had dressed casual but nice, it went well with my blue to white Ombre blouse, faded denim jean capris, and lace sneaker wedges.     “So, are you going to tell me where we are going for our first date?” I asked as he opened my door and I slid into the passenger seat. “Nope, I'll let you figure it out if you can, and if you can’t. .. then it’ll be a surprise!” He said with a playful smile and wink before shutting the door and getting in on the driver’s side. The man would be an amazing poker player. I listed all the types of food and names of restaurants that I could possibly think of. If I had guessed it at all during my long list of places and foods, he never once showed that I had hit the mark. It was irritatingly fun! We pulled up in front of a small restaurant with a sign saying Cham Garden Korean Barbeque. The inside was even smaller than I had imagined but it smelled heavenly. There were very few tables, each one held a metal grill in the middle of the table and a fan situated above the tables to help remove the smoke, and maybe some of the heat. There was a buffet of different raw cold meats that you could select to cook as well as different sides to accompany the main entrée . We had to wait about 15 minutes but soon we were given a table and we loaded up our plates with a little of everything. We sat down and started placing our meats on the grill. I could feel my wolf salivating as the smell of cooking meat filled the air.     “So. tell me why you decided to come here?” I asked flipping over one of the thin pieces of chicken I had placed on the grill.     "Well, usually I see people fidgeting and not knowing what to do with themselves when on the first date. This gets rid of that, it gives us something to do while we make small talk and get to know each other.”  He watched me maneuvering my pieces of meat around so I could fit even more meat on the small space.     I hadn’t even thought of that but now that he had said it, I discovered that he was right. First date couples always looked awkward, had those long moments of silence, and were always fidgeting with their hands and looking around as though planning a quick escape. Having the meat to cook and something to do made it easier to talk and more comfortable. Maybe just the fact of having something to do made it so you didn't focus on the awkwardness of it all. Why had more people not figured it out?     “Maybe people don’t like to cook their own food? I mean, we are practically paying for them to give us raw food and we cook it, couldn’t we just do this at home?” I asked and noticed he had looked at me with what I could only describe as curiosity. “What? Is there food on my face?” I quickly used a napkin to wipe the corners of my mouth.     “No, no nothing like that at all. You just used we and home in the same sentence. It sounded good.” He smiled removing his chicken and replacing it with pork.     My eyes darted immediately to his face. Oh no, I knew where this may lead the conversation and I wanted to stay away from that topic, at least for the duration of our first date. I didn't see it putting a positive note on anything and it would do nothing but ruin the evening.     “So, tell me a little bit about yourself. You’ve only told me your name, and a little bit about your dad. How old are you?” I asked     “I’m 22, will be 23 on November 23rd.” He shoved some of the pork into his mouth and by the quick raise of his eye brows I knew that It had been good.     “That's your golden birthday then, you know that right‘? When the day of your birth matches the age that you’re turning." I Attempted to get more than a couple grains of rice with my chopsticks. Damn, these things were horrible! “Is it? Well I never heard of that, I guess I will have to do something big then?” He asked     “Not entirely, it’s your birthday after all, there’s no real specific thing that you have to do for it.” I said in response. “So how about your pack? You said it was the Blood Island Pack?”     "Yes, we are a branch from the King and Queen’s alpha pack. Kind of like a branch office that a company on the east side of the country has on the west side of the country.” He explained. I on the other hand suddenly got chills. The royal pack? That means he somehow has ties to royalty. This made me nervous. If he was in that pack and held a high position, then that would mean he lead responsibilities. Responsibilities that I would leave to then take on and assist with, maybe some of them even take over, when we became official mates and I joined his pack. I already had had enough being a nobody in a pack, I couldn’t possibly handle something like this. .. could I? My mind felt numb, almost like when your leg starts to go to sleep.      "You okay?” He asked, positioning his face in such a way that we could make eye contact.     “Yeah, yeah, I’m okay! Sorry about that, I just spaced out a little. All this good food is putting me into a food coma.” I assured him. “So, do you have any brothers or sisters?” I asked, attempting to steer away from the royalty line of thought. Why was there so much to talk about but so much to not talk about at the same time?     “I don’t. But my best friend Jace, you’ll meet him soon enough, is in the pack and very much like a brother to me. He lives with my family and I, although he usually stays in the pack territory with my mother while my father and I come here during the week.” He shrugged at the topic of his family being temporarily, but frequently, separated. Maybe this was the reason why he seemed to want to become mated, have me move in, and stay close to me? It may not be the answer, but it did help me understand him a little.     “His further treats his mate that way? How can they even stand to be apart from one another? That is not the way it should be.” My wolf chimed in, shaking her head in disapproval and almost sounding angry. I couldn’t understand why, it’s not like it was her we were talking about. Or was our topic of conversation hitting a little too close to home?     “It must be nice, having the freedom to do that. Your pack alpha allows his pack members to be gone for long-ish periods of time?” I asked. It sounded too good to be true, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad having Greyson as a mate and joining his pack. He started to chuckle which then turned into an outright laugh. I raised my eyebrows at him and crossed my arms over my chest, waiting for him to calm down. “I’m sorry, but I think being a rogue has affected some of you, and your wolf's senses” he smirked. My wolfs pride was pricked, and she wasn’t at all happy with him. “You seriously weren’t able to tell?” he asked incredulously.     "Tell what?” I asked     “My father. Samuel, is the pack alpha. My mother is the Luna. That is why Jace and I always stay with one of them.” He said still laughing slightly. I stared at him. If my jaw could have hit the table it would leave, my mouth was open too wide.     “yo-, you-, yo-. your father?” I stammered, trying to make sense of it all. I rested my forehead on the table and took a deep breath. Why did I keep getting hit on my blind side with this guy? It now made sense why he would always be around but not a student, but that reason hadn’t even crossed my mind. Greyson could tell that I had had a bit of a shock and was trying to work it all out in my head. He asked the waitress to refill my Shirley temple, which I eagerly gulped down before she could even fully place it on the table.     “Can we go?” I asked, “This has been lovely, but you just dropped a bombshell and I really could get out of here.” He nodded, got up and went to pay for our meals at the register and helped me into the car. The cool breeze on my face helped me get a little clarity in my head as I rolled all the information around.
