Though both appeared smiling, I could sense the tension between Kinsley and Khayim.
"Hey, calm down Kai. It's just Kinsley." I reminded my friend through our mind link. I don't quite get it; it is not like Khayim to be wary of old friends, and Kinsley has spent most of his early years alongside us until he left when we were teens.
" Would you like to go with him? "Khayim wondered. "I don't mind." I assured him. "I looked at Kinsley, then Khayim. "It's alright Kai. I'll go with Kinsley. You can take Violet. It'll save you a lot of travel time, and you have to get back to the project site. We've kept you long enough already." I smiled warmly at him. He doesn't seem convinced, but he nodded.
