"Duchess Eve's POV"
"The Duchy's really lively since yesterday." I said to Jerarld while I was looking outside passed these window
I'm now in his office in the 'Gold Building'. I delivered his breakfast because he's so busy that he said he doesn't have time to eat.
Which is stupid of him of course.
Jerarld put gus his left arm around me and stood beside me.
"It's probably because of Alisha."he replied
"Alisha, yes, that lovely child. She's a pretty little...confident kid." Jerarld nodded with a smile so...pretentious.
Yes, who would have thought that the Duke of Frostier's could act like this.
He's really a child if you get to know him more.
"To think that the goddess personally intervened to help our, Arabella, and blessed us another lovely daughter child. It so surreal that I'm still in the state of disbelief."
"If the Royal Family were to hear about this, I'm sure they'll get all itchy jealous. In addition to that, I'm certain that the pests will go crazy and feel more threatened. Still, I'm looking forward to the day I can step on them. I'm going to squish the he-"
I hit Jerarld on the arm before he can say anything terrible.
"What?"
You know what, guys?
His personality really sucks. He isn't cute at all.
I rolled at my eyes at him before I decided to take a seat on the red soft sofa in his office.
I'm beat.
I woke up too early because I was feeling restless.
I was really worried about Arabella. When I heard that she have an illness so rare when she was only 4 years old, I cried my eyes out all day. She grew up so sweet, and very kind as a child.
I always wondered why she had to go through such a terrible fate when she didn't even do anything wrong.
She would usually get a nosebleed, and doesn't usually eat much.
I was so worried that I'll lose her that I blamed myself because I wasn't as close to my children anymore.
Me, and my other children still talk. But it was as if there was some kind of distance between us that makes it difficult to get close than before.
I blamed myself because I should've been more stronger.
What use is there for me to have the power to slay monsters, not enough power to be there for all of my children?
I want to make it up to them soon. That's why I decided to finish most of my work in advance.
I miss my children. I miss spending time with them. I want for us to smile altogether.
"Jerarld, we have another lovely child again."
"..."
Jerarld put his head on my shoulder and fumbled my fingers.
He must've been anxious as well. This husband of mine with a complicated personality, it seems we have the same worries.
"Let's strive to be great parents to our children, specially to Alisha."
"Hmm..." he responded before hugging me
Oh this man.
"Alexandra's POV"
I'm now here in the library located inside the Silver building on the third floor.
Saying that it was only a huge library was my wrong. It's enormous! I really mean it.
I think a giant lives here or something.
How do they even get the books from the top of the shelves?
Vivian said that the whole estate is casted by some kind of magic. It may look already huge enough from the outside, but the inside really are monstrous to describe it in simple terms.
I'm not that mean of a reader. Bit if it's something in line with me, or really needed, I can read quite a lot. My memorization skill I developed in school improved by countless tests and quizzes helped me with that.
To describe how this library looks like, ten to fifteen wide, and tall shelves can be found in this library. I don't even know If I were to include whatever it's be called as
the walls are really shelves.
And then I realized something I should've had since earlier.
"How am I supposed to fin the book I'm looking for with all...this?"
It's the first time I get so frustrated in this world.
I really want to find more about auras, and other information about magic. But the book I'm really looking for is to how to determine if a person has some kind of power
There are I guess five long tables and numerous brown wooden chairs on each side.
Aren't there any staff assigned here?
"Hello?"
My voice echoed in the whole library. No one replied so I guess I'm really all alone here.
Let's start looking around then.
I walk around the library multiple times trying to look for the topic in line to what I'm looking for.
"This is hell."
Is what I said after looking around QUITE some time. Knowing that the floor has some sort of cleaning spell, I let my body lay to the ground from exhaustion.
Geez...I've been here for a while now but I just couldn't find the book.
Ughhh!
And being inside a child's body has some disadvantages. Such as weak stamina, and weak short legs.
"Nevermind! I give up! I...am...dead...tired."
I should've brought Vivian with me or rather ask for more information.
I'm really stupid.
I feel my eyes get al teary, and before I know it, I was crying helplessly on the floor all alone inside an irritating huge library.
"You. You're so noisy."I heard someone said with a deep cold voice that'll give you chills undeniably
Oh. Skunk.
I got up from the floor immediately with my heart thumping like crazy.
"That scared me!"
I looked at the culprit and was thinking of scolding that person, but the only thing I could say was...
"Oh."
That was all I could say when my eyes met a pair of shining silver eyes as of they were diamonds themselves. The one of the people I'm a bit reluctant to be alone with as of the moment.
"Young Master, Kent." I blurted in surprise.
Kent Austin Chrollo Frostier.
