Raiya's POV

1 year later

"Chase, get out of this bed. You’re going to be late for class." I said while trying to wake him. He sleeps so dead. It takes fifteen minutes to wake him every morning.

We graduated from high school. Cece is 4 months pregnant, and Daniel is still in the Drug game. Taylia dropped out of school 3 months after everything. She had a baby 2 months ago for some nigga no one knows about. Cece told me, and also that Khalil is still in the drug game as well, and he is also single but sleeping around. I stood in front of the mirror after my shower, trying to cover up a bruise that had form on my face. Yes, Chase beats the s**t out of me. He hits me every time someone looks at me or a nigga talks to me. No one knows about this because since we moved away to go to college, we barely talk to anyone. And I have absolutely no friends here.

He has a basketball scholarship but he is also studying to become a Neurosurgeon, and I am studying to become a Pediatrician. I got dressed in a black skull tank top, red skinny jeans and black converses. I just had in a silver earring with a heart necklace and a black wrap bracelet.

I quickly picked up my bag and cell phone while I shook Chase again. He slowly got up, smacked his lips and walked away from me. We got into a heated argument last night because my mother is deciding to throw my 18th birthday party at a club nearby and he doesn't want all of my friends to be here so he hit me because I yelled at him.

I ignored him and walked out the apartment slamming the door. I quickly made my way towards my car as I drove towards the campus. I got out of the car and made my way towards my first class.

Raiya's Birthday Party.

I was at Ticky’s Hair salon getting my hair and makeup done for my birthday. Ceira and my mom was here with me. My hair has been dyed blonde ever since I left high school. Now I am ready for a change again, I decided to dye it red this time. I had my dress and everything. The party was tonight, and I was more than ready. Khalil, Daniel and the gang are coming. Oh, my dad and I have gotten real close again.

I was now getting dress in my outfit, it is a peach cage neck body-con dress that wrapped itself around my thighs. I put on some mint green Giuseppe Zanotti’s Suede peep toe heels. Diamond mint green studs, mint green necklace and mint green gold and mint green bangle set and gold Michael Korrs watch. My long red hair is flowing down my back with my peach colored nails. Cece is dressed pink dress, black Giuseppe Zanotti’s Suede Ankle strap shoes, gold pyramid earring, gold and black bracelet Michael Korrs watch and gold chunky chain. Her nails are paint in pink and her blonde shoulder length hair loose.

Mother is dressed in a yellow strapless dress, with royal blue ankle boots, gold hoops, and simple gold bracelet on her left wrist with a gold and royal blue bracelet set on her right. Her nails were paint in blue and her makeup was neat. Her ombre hair was caught in a bun.

We arrived at the party, everyone wishing me a happy birthday. I went to sit in the VIP section, when Chase and his friends entered. He was dressed in all black. He entered the VIP section. His eyes scanning the area for me. When he noticed me, he walked over.

“Your hair" he mumbled as he hugged me wishing me a happy birthday. Honestly, I hated his guts. I never really loved him. All I cared about was Khalil. He still had my heart wherever he was. At that moment, Khalil and Daniel entered the club dressed in Black and Gold. They both looked extremely hot but Khal looked even more handsome.

I stopped paying attention to Chase as my entire attention was on Khal. His eyes met mine as he walked over towards the VIP section.

"Aye, stop looking at him. He better not come over here." Chase said softly but angrily at me.

I ignored him and ran towards Khal. Jumping him instantly.

"I missed you Rocky" he mumbled in my ear. I hugged his face kissing him hungrily.

"b***h what the f**k you think you doing with this p***y?" Chase shouted over the music.

"Aye, don't call her out of her name now yungin" Khal said calmly. I stood behind him. Daniel touched my shoulder. I instantly turned around him hugging him as well.

“He hits on me" I mumbled in his ears.

"WHAT!" he yelled. He charged towards Chase his fist connecting with Chase's jaw. Khalil instantly joined in beating the living s**t out of Chase. Chase's boys came over punching both Khal and Daniel. The gang instantly joined both gangs instantly have a war. My mom came over to me pulling me from the brawl.

"Why are they fighting?" Mom and Ceira asked at the same time.

"Chase hits on me" I mumbled to them. They both hugged me. Whispering things to me.
