Zhou Yue was in her room, listening to the sounds of Lu Yunfeng moving around outside, her heart filled with mixed emotions. She knew she still loved him, but the slap from earlier and Lin Xiao's words felt like a thorn buried deep in her heart. In the kitchen, Lu Yunfeng was busily preparing a lavish breakfast, hoping to win Zhou Yue's forgiveness. Meanwhile, Lin Xiao was relentless, sending Lu Yunfeng messages in an attempt to further disturb his peace of mind. Unaware of Lin Xiao's true intentions, Lu Yunfeng thought she just wanted to help him mend things with Zhou Yue. He replied, "Don’t worry about it. I'll handle it with Yueyue." Lin Xiao, however, was undeterred. She continued, "Brother Lu Yunfeng, don’t overwork yourself. Why don’t I give your sister a little nudge?" Lu Yunfeng finally lost his patience, replying sharply, "I said no! Stay out of it!" But Lin Xiao wouldn’t give up so easily. She sneakily messaged Zhou Yue, deliberately crafting ambiguous statements meant to provoke misunderstanding about Lu Yunfeng. Upon seeing Lin Xiao's messages, Zhou Yue's anger flared again. She burst out of her room and coldly confronted Lu Yunfeng, "You two really are entangled." Lu Yunfeng looked confused, completely oblivious to why Zhou Yue was saying this. Chapter Nine: The Deception of the Green Tea Bitch Lin Xiao observed the escalating conflict between Zhou Yue and Lu Yunfeng, feeling secretly pleased. She put on a facade of an innocent and pitiful lamb and called Lu Yunfeng, her voice quivering with faux tears. "Brother Lu Yunfeng, I don’t know what’s going on; it seems like your sister dislikes me even more. Have I done something wrong?" Lu Yunfeng comforted her, "Don’t overthink it. It’s not your fault." Lin Xiao sobbed softly, "Brother Lu, I just wanted you two to reconcile. I didn’t mean to complicate things." Lu Yunfeng sighed, "I know you have good intentions." Meanwhile, unseen by Lu Yunfeng, Lin Xiao smirked with satisfaction, plotting how to further ensnare him in her trap, completely unaware that she was walking deeper into her own abyss. Zhou Yue, still in her room, could hear Lu Yunfeng’s movements outside, the mixed emotions churning within her. She knew she still loved him, but the sting of their argument and Lin Xiao's manipulations gnawed at her heart. In the kitchen, Lu Yunfeng continued to prepare a sumptuous breakfast, hoping it would serve as a peace offering to Zhou Yue. Yet Lin Xiao continued to bombard him with messages, trying to disrupt his mental state. Lu Yunfeng, still oblivious to Lin Xiao's hidden agenda, responded to her, "I’ll manage my issues with Yueyue; you don’t need to interfere." Lin Xiao persisted, "Brother Lu Yunfeng, don’t tire yourself out. Shouldn’t I help talk to your sister?" Lu Yunfeng finally snapped, "I said I don't need your help! Stay out of it!" Yet Lin Xiao remained determined, sending Zhou Yue ambiguous messages to further provoke her. When Zhou Yue read Lin Xiao's texts, her anger reignited. She stormed out of her room again, glaring at Lu Yunfeng as she told him, "You two are really tangled up!" Sensing that Zhou Yue and Lu Yunfeng’s conflicts were intensifying, Lin Xiao feigned innocence and called Lu Yunfeng again, her voice dripping with feigned sorrow. "Brother Lu Yunfeng, what’s wrong? It seems like your sister hates me even more. Did I do something to upset her?" Lu Yunfeng reassured her again, "Don't think too much; you haven't done anything wrong." Lin Xiao continued, pretending to choke back tears, "I only wanted to help you both reconcile but ended up creating more problems." Lu Yunfeng sighed resignedly, acknowledging, "I know you meant well." In a hidden corner, Lin Xiao smiled with satisfaction, already plotting her next move to keep Lu Yunfeng ensnared while remaining oblivious to the consequences of her actions.
