Chapter Two: Closer

ince their encounter at the café, Zhou Yue and Lu Yunfeng's lives began to intertwine. Every weekend, Lu Yunfeng would take Zhou Yue to explore the city's hidden, mysterious corners.

On a sunny Sunday, Lu Yunfeng brought Zhou Yue to an ancient temple. Just as they were immersed in the temple's tranquil atmosphere, dark clouds suddenly gathered in the sky, and a torrential rain began to pour. They hurriedly searched for a place to take shelter from the rain but found none around the temple. With no other choice, they had to run back in the rain.

During their frantic escape, Zhou Yue accidentally stepped on a stone and twisted her ankle. Without hesitation, Lu Yunfeng picked her up and carried her on his back, struggling through the downpour. As Zhou Yue lay on Lu Yunfeng's back, she felt both touched and a bit guilty.

After finally reaching Lu Yunfeng's home, Zhou Yue was completely soaked and had developed a high fever. Lu Yunfeng was frantic, quickly searching for medicine and boiling water, taking care of her with great care. Under Lu Yunfeng's attentive care, Zhou Yue's condition gradually improved.

Following this incident, their relationship grew closer. In the days that followed, Lu Yunfeng took Zhou Yue to participate in a photography competition. Zhou Yue was full of anticipation, believing that Lu Yunfeng's work would win an award; however, the outcome was disappointing. Lu Yunfeng's mood plummeted, and he even began to doubt his photography skills.

Zhou Yue continuously encouraged him, helping him analyze the shortcomings of his work. With Zhou Yue's support, Lu Yunfeng regained his confidence and decided to create a new series of photographs.

Just as Lu Yunfeng was fully immersed in his creative process, Zhou Yue received an urgent task from her company that required her to go on a business trip for a while. During their separation, they could only express their longing for each other through phone calls and text messages.

While on her business trip, Zhou Yue faced a series of challenges, and her work was not progressing smoothly. Meanwhile, Lu Yunfeng also encountered technical bottlenecks in his photography, leaving both of them feeling anxious.

Just when Zhou Yue felt helpless, Lu Yunfeng suddenly appeared in front of her. It turned out that after resolving his own issues, he rushed over to support Zhou Yue. With Lu Yunfeng's help, Zhou Yue successfully completed her work tasks.

When they returned to their familiar city together, their hearts were even more resolute. They strolled through the streets, sharing their experiences and feelings from the past days. Zhou Yue looked at Lu Yunfeng, her eyes filled with affection. Lu Yunfeng took Zhou Yue's hand, as if to tell her that they would walk together on the road ahead.

Zhou Yue and Lu Yunfeng thought that after experiencing various ups and downs, they could finally enjoy a peaceful and happy time. However, fate seemed unwilling to let them enjoy tranquility so easily.

Lu Yunfeng received an invitation for a photography project abroad. It was a rare opportunity but also meant he would have to leave for a long time. Although Zhou Yue felt reluctant, she encouraged Lu Yunfeng to pursue his dreams.

After Lu Yunfeng left, Zhou Yue encountered a strong competitor at work. This rival resorted to unscrupulous tactics to undermine Zhou Yue and seize an important project from her. Zhou Yue was exhausted from dealing with the cutthroat office politics and felt immense pressure.

Meanwhile, far away in another country, Lu Yunfeng suffered an accident during a shoot and was hospitalized. Due to poor communication, Zhou Yue was unable to learn about Lu Yunfeng's situation in time, leaving her filled with worry and anxiety.
