Chapter Three: Turmoil Resurfaces

Zhou Yue and Lu Yunfeng believed that after enduring various ups and downs, they could finally embrace a peaceful and happy time together. However, fate seemed unwilling to let them enjoy tranquility so easily.

Lu Yunfeng received an invitation for a photography project abroad, one that held significant influence in the photography world. After Lu Yunfeng left, Zhou Yue encountered a formidable competitor at work. This rival, named Lin Na, was a woman who would stop at nothing to achieve her goals. Lin Na had long coveted an important project that Zhou Yue was handling, and she began spreading rumors about Zhou Yue in the company, claiming that she obtained project resources through unethical means. Zhou Yue's reputation took a serious hit, and her colleagues’ attitudes toward her changed.

Feeling deeply wronged and angry, Zhou Yue chose to respond calmly. She worked hard to gather evidence to clear her name. However, Lin Na was relentless; she attempted to woo Zhou Yue’s clients and sabotage her business relationships. Zhou Yue endured immense pressure daily and often found herself sleepless at night.

Meanwhile, far away in another country, Lu Yunfeng met a beautiful and passionate model named Alice during his work. Alice pursued Lu Yunfeng fervently, and although he initially held fast to his feelings for Zhou Yue and firmly rejected Alice, she did not give up. She always seemed to appear when Lu Yunfeng needed help, gradually causing him to waver in his feelings.

Unbeknownst to Zhou Yue, she continued to wait for Lu Yunfeng’s return. One day, however, Zhou Yue’s best friend stumbled upon a photo of Lu Yunfeng and Alice together and couldn’t help but tell Zhou Yue. The moment Zhou Yue saw the photo, her heart shattered. She couldn’t believe that Lu Yunfeng would betray her.

She successfully found evidence of Lin Na’s malicious competition and reported it to the higher-ups in the company. The company took serious action against Lin Na, and Zhou Yue finally cleared her name.

Ultimately, Lu Yunfeng realized that the person he truly loved was Zhou Yue. He decided to end his relationship with Alice and return home to confess everything to Zhou Yue, hoping for her forgiveness.

In the end, Lu Yunfeng chose to return to his true feelings. He broke free from Alice’s grasp and resolutely returned home. When he stood in front of Zhou Yue, she looked at him coldly, her eyes filled with disappointment and anger. Lu Yunfeng repeatedly apologized, trying to explain everything, but Zhou Yue didn’t want to hear any of it.
