Chapter 12Beto has never been to Reno before so doesn’t really know what he expected, more interested in getting to his destination than looking around. Ducking to look out the window checking his bearings, Beto once again second-guesses his decision to come here unannounced. Will Aiden even want to see him when he isn’t expecting him?
They’ve talked, a lot, both by text and in a couple of calls. Aiden still sounds cautious which breaks Beto’s heart, though when he admitted he missed him Beto decided he had to do something other than just wait for Aiden to come back. Which is why he’s here, having taken two days annual leave and cashed in on a promise to swap a shift. So he has four days free. If all goes to plan he will get to spend all that time with Aiden when he isn’t working.
