Sarah woke up while I was in the middle of tying her up. She put up a fight but calmed down after I put the knife to her throat. She’s crying now after she looked over and saw the chick's body on the mattress. “Miss me?” I asked her and smirked when she yelled at me. “f**k you!”
I shake my head and walk to the monitors to see what Alessa is doing. I roll my eyes when I see that she and Liam are hugging. I hear her moving behind me in the chair, trying to get the knots around her hands and feet loose, but she won't. I punched the screen when Liam took Alessa’s shirt off, and they dropped to the floor out of view. Sarah screams behind me. The punch scared her, and I laughed. I turn around and look at her, “Why did you change your hair? It wasn’t you that I wanted. Not even after you helped her and let her get away from me. I never wanted you, and you’re only here now because you were here. If you had stayed away, you wouldn’t be in this mess. Again. Only this time, you're on the wrong side.” I watched her flinch at my words. “Why help her that day? That’s why one of the questions I asked myself the entire time I was locked up. You’re the only reason I knew where she was and the plan. The other question is, why was I the only one locked up? What about you.” She shakes her head and starts to cry. “Of course, it doesn’t matter now. I’m out, and we are both here. But you played me.” I yelled at her. She stops crying. “You are insane. I never wanted you to kill her; I wanted you to leave her!” she shouts at me. I shake my head and laugh again, “I might be crazy, but I didn’t plan to kill my best friend. You came to me and vented about how she thinks she's better than you, a better swimmer, a better friend, better person….and you went into full detail about how you would kill her if you had the chance; I might be crazy, but you're just as f****d up as me.” She looks up at the ceiling and doesn’t say a word. “Is that why you changed your hair? You figured that…,” I start laughing. “You figured that if you changed your hair color, you could forget what happened. Forget how shitty of a person you are.” I grab her by the face and force her to look me in the eyes, “You can change your appearance, but that doesn’t make you any less of a shitter person.” She spits in my face, and I let go of her. I wipe the spit off my face, “Oh, I love that you remembered what turns me on.” I punch her in the face, and she falls backward, hitting the floor. She starts laughing. “You hit like a b***h; no wonder she was able to get away that day.” I lift her off the ground. “I could show you how much of a man I really am?” she doesn’t respond and just looks me in the eyes. “But no, you’d like that too much.” I pull out a knife that was in my belt loop and stab her in the leg. She starts screaming. “I think when I visit with Alyssa later I will bring you with me. I want to see the look on her face when she finds out that the person she cared about wanted her dead. I want to see the look on her face when she finds out that she really is all alone in this world and that no one will be there to save her as I slice her throat.” She doesn’t say anything to me. “Tonight, we will go. Tonight is the night that you get your wish, Sarah.”
I end up punching Sarah unconscious. I couldn't take her crying and begging anymore. It started to rain an hour ago and which helped me come up with my plan on how to get Sarah to Alessa's. Getting her out of here would have been easy without the rain. The people here, they don’t care about some girl being dragged around by a man. They only worry about where their next fix would come from. Getting her down the street to Alessa’s would have been a problem and someone would have called the cops on me I'm sure. The rain will help cover the knife I'll keep by her side. The coat will cover the rope around her wrist as well. I couldn't have asked for better weather. I get antsy watching the two people on the screen laughing and cleaning themselves up after f*****g. I ball my hand into a fist. I can’t wait to get my hands around his throat choking the life out of him for touching what is MINE. I decided now was the time to move. I kick Sarahs chair and hear her groan. “Wake up baby.” I jerk her up by her arms forcing her to stand and kick the chair out behind her. “It’s time to go see our friend.” She starts kicking her feet in the air. Or attempting, I should say. The one I stabbed earlier is bothering her. I jerk the knife from my pocket and shove it up to her neck. The point drawing a little blood. She stops screaming. Eyes huge. One sound out of you on our walk and I’ll cut your throat, toss your body in an alley and walk away before anyone can even realize what's going on. Understand?” She shakes her head yes. I kiss her on the cheek, and she jerks her head away “Let's go.”
The walk to Alessa’s apartment was uneventful. There weren’t many people out because of the weather. So it was an easy walk, the fun part was getting up the fire escape with Sarah’s leg without causing a scene or making a lot of noise. I think what little noise we did make the people assumed it was from the storm. We make it to Alessa’s window and wait. The lights are off in her room. But I can see from the open door from her bedroom that the kitchen and living room lights are on. Which means we can sneak in. The storm would drown out any sounds we make when I open the window. I pause and look at Sarah, who hasn’t made a sound since we left my apartment. “One Word.” I say looking her in the eyes. “ I will kill you right here if you say one word or make one noise. Do you understand me.” “Yes.” she says without so much as a fight. I turn and start to open the bedroom window.
