The Evergreen Legend

Chapter Seven

Cassius held her in his arms tightly as he spoke, "Shhhh, it was a dream! You're okay." She hugged him and sighed as she told them about the dream.

"Seems it wasn't just a dream but your parents somehow visited you in your sleep. We should meet up here around five tomorrow morning and go back to the elders, maybe they can tell us more about what your parents said and perhaps help you two unlock more of your power. Later on that night at dinner a short woman with beautiful locks of golden hair and blue eyes walked up to Cassius and started talking while Riah was getting ready.

"You must be the handsome son of my father's friend. I'm Skyler Whitlock and finally great to meet you, Cassie." Just then Zeidan's brother Alister Blackburn walked downstairs and met the eyes of Skyer, and as soon as their eyes met her heart, it felt warm and everyone around them disappeared.

"Hello there miss, you look positively gorgeous tonight." He took her hand in his and kissed it. As she took his hand Azariah walked down and Cassius's jaw dropped to the floor. After the dance, they sat down to eat and the two older men stood up and spoke.

"We are here tonight to celebrate the engagement of my son and your daughter!" Cassius's father said, just then Cassius stood up and ran to the roof. Cassius was close to the edge when Riah ran in, were his parents forcing him into an arranged marriage? He hated it! He was in love with someone opposite of his "Bride-to-be" but knew his parents wouldn't agree they'd try to kill her. Just as he was about to give up and let it all fall, he heard her angel voice which made him turn around.

"Cassius!!! Please get down, I love you!!!" He jumped down and ran over to her, all he did was look at Lea, her beautiful fire red hair flowing in the wind and her green eyes sparkling in the midnight gleam of the moon. This made his heart leap out of his chest, she was nothing but silence. She felt her whole world break into pieces, Riah snapped out of it when she felt two hands on her shoulders moving her forward. Her eyes widened and tears started streaming down her cheeks as she felt Cassius's soft pale lips. When they got back there was a lot of yelling, Cassius's mother looked over and saw his hand on hers running over and grabbing her hand.

"So Cassie, is this who you wanna marry? A girl you just met?!" Cassius smacked his mother's hand away with a scowl expression on his face.

"Hands off mother, yes! I do want to marry her! Why is that so bad? You love dad and I love her!" He pulled her away as Tara was waiting in Riah's room with Lillian making out when the door busted open and slammed shut. In walks Riah, Cassius, Alister, Zeidan, and Skyler.

"We're leaving! Once the clock hits five! Everyone go pack and go to bed!" He kissed Riah on the cheek and then asked Zeidan, Alister, and Fox to extort the girls to their rooms. Tara gave her best friend and sister a bear hug before going off with Lillian to her room, Skyler slept in Azariah's room. The next morning at five o'clock they grabbed their bags and went off to the Sky Region, once they arrived they were greeted by the four elders whose names were Duan Fenyn, Elder Lord Cheng Hanjin, Lei Chao, and finally Dai Yang.

"You shall stay here and make a new council for you shall soon be the leader." Dai Yang stated as Azariah stepped up and spoke.

"Please explain! I don't understand your words!" Just then a woman walked in and offered her help.

"My name is Vanessa Silvergreen, a high wood elf of Coldstone village. I can translate any language to English," She smiled and walked over to the elders, "my cousin and I would also like to join you, my parents knew yours Riah. I normally use the Sky Region's portal to go to the mortal realm so I can learn English since no one knows about it." Cassius smiled and nodded.

"Okay, so what Dai Yang said was he wants you to make a new council for Arcciana and include one villager per village. He also stated that you Azariah Evergreen will be our new queen." Gasps could be heard from around the room before it went quiet as Riahs vision went black.

"Riah??" Cassius picked her up and called her name, when she didn't answer he looked at Fox, "What's wrong with her? What's going on?" Fox remained calm and answered him.

"She's having another one of those vision things." As soon as Cheng Hanjin heard this he rushed over and asked Cassius to place Azariah on a bed so he could get a better look at her.

"Young mistress is not having a vision, she is receiving a memory from master Aldon." Fox's eyes widened when he heard his father's name, it had been a while but he still knew it.

"From our father? About what?" Hanjin stroked his bread and sighed shaking his head.

"No telling what about, just wait." He and the other elders left. The parents of Fox and Azariah Evergreen stood in front of the portal to the mortal realm as they embraced each other with one more kiss before Aldon bent down, cutting his finger and drawing the Evergreen family symbol, a willow tree.

"Due to my parents being the rightful barriers of the throne, I can close the portal until we are brought back. I love you, my dear." He embraced her once more before they disappeared, and in their place are a lovely pink willow tree.

Skyler and Alister got up to get dinner for everyone while Tara and Lillian went off to find drinks, it wasn't till around ten pm when she woke up to Cassius, Alister, and Fox sleeping in chairs around the room. Skyler, Lillian, and Tara walked in and gasped waking the boys up.

"How long was I out this time?" She let out a laugh and sat up, "I'm starving." she giggled as she looked at Fox.

"Hey! That's my line." The group let out laughs as Vinessa walked in with a woman whose wings were bright blue and purple.

"This is my cousin, Pixie meet the rest of the new royal council members. There's Cassius Bloodworth of the day walker clan, Fox Evergreen of the Evergreen royal family, Alister Blackburn of the Dawnbright clan, and Skyler Whitlock of the Termbleford clan. Oh and us." Pixie smiled and put her hand out as she shook each of their hands.

"It is great to finally meet you, Miss Azariah, as my cousin stated, my name is Pixie Silvergriss of the Nature Fairy clan my daughter will be so pleased to hear I'm working with you." Riah hugged Pixie and Vinessa tightly.

"No need to be so formal! And please, just call me Riah." She smiled and stood up stretching, "Alright! Let's fest!!" She ran to the table as food appeared and the group looked confused, Alister whispered to Cassius and Fox.

"Did you know that could happen?" They shook their heads in disbelief as the girls laughed and sat down starting to eat. After eating they met up with Duan who was talking to Elder Lord Cheng.

"We must begin training now, soon war will be upon us." He stated as the group walked up, Riah let out a laugh.

"I'll try my best to protect my friends and family." Hanjin waved over Fox and Riah and took them into a room.

"There are some people you should meet." At that moment an older man and woman ran over embracing the twins, Fox and Riah looked confused, but they hugged them back anyway.

"Who are these people?" Fox asked as he pushed them away from his sister.

"Foxzaria and Azariah Evergreen these are your father's parents, also the true king and queen of Accriana." All the blood from Riah and Fox's faces drained as they heard this, because this meant, that they were indeed, prince and princess of Accriana.
