Everything still felt unreal.
The black card inside his pocket alone could change his entire life overnight.
But strangely…
He didn’t feel happy.
Not yet.
His phone suddenly vibrated.
It was his landlord again.
“Ethan! If you don’t pay today, I’m throwing all your things outside!”
Normally, those words would have terrified him.
But this time, Ethan simply smiled faintly.
“Don’t worry,” he replied calmly. “I’ll pay.”
The landlord scoffed.
“You poor fool, pay with what exactly?”
Ethan looked across the street where luxury cars passed one after another.
“With money,” he answered before hanging up.
For the first time in years…
He finally sounded confident.
The Black Card
Ethan entered the largest shopping mall in Silverstone City.
Immediately, countless eyes turned toward him.
His cheap clothes made him stand out among the wealthy customers.
Two female employees whispered while laughing.
“Can people like him even afford socks here?”
“He probably came to enjoy free air conditioning.”
Ethan ignored them and walked into a luxury clothing store. The saleswoman blocking the entrance frowned.
“Sir, this is a high-end boutique.”
Ethan nodded calmly.
“I know.”
She forced a fake smile.
“Our cheapest item costs over two thousand dollars.”
