Her brows still furrowed, Serena made her way around the SUV and into the driver’s seat. Instead of commenting or questioning further she started the vehicle and pulled out of the gravel drive way.
As they made their way out of pack territory, Caleb opened his laptop and began going through some of his notes. He figured if he was able to keep busy throughout the drive he wouldn’t be able to focus on their close proximity.
Unfortunately, Serena was having none of that. She wanted to get to know Caleb better and felt the best way to do that was to either question him about the pack or his work. She opted to go the route of work as she figured Caleb wouldn’t be receptive to talking about the pack.
