After the pain subsided, Randy pinned me down on the bed.
"You..."
Before I could finish, Randy's lips came crashing down on mine. His kiss was intense and forceful. I could barely breathe, and my mind went completely blank.
His tongue pushed past my lips, as if he wanted to take things further.
I pressed my hands against his chest and kept hitting him.
I tried to push him away, but one of his large hands grabbed my wrists and pinned them against the pillow.
With his other hand, he pulled off his tie.
A scene from when I was ten kept flashing through my mind.
Was the same nightmare about to happen again?
Tears welled up in the corners of my eyes.
"Let me go... please... please..."
But Randy had no intention of letting the little lamb that had wandered right into the wolf's den get away. He lowered his head and kissed my neck, hard.
"No way, Catherine!"
Randy spat out each word, his voice filled with bitterness.
"Catherine, you really have a heart of stone.
"You left without a word for six years. Did you really think I would just let you go?"
The sound of the zipper being pulled open echoed through the room.
I kicked at the sheets again and again, desperately trying to bring Randy back to his senses.
The way Randy looked now dragged me back to a scene from fifteen years ago, one that I could never erase from my memory.
Fifteen years ago, I was almost assaulted.
If it hadn't been for an old woman passing by and saving me, I would have...
However, the price she paid was devastating.
She collapsed in a pool of blood.
Then, she died.
