I loaded my plate with two overstuffed tacos and two perfectly cooked tortillas. As I grabbed them with the tongs, I felt the warmth emanating from them. I filled a bowl with sizzling hot chili, the spicy aroma making my mouth water. When I sat down at the table with the others, I placed my palms on the smooth wooden tabletop. “I’m usually not so competitive, but I’m hangry.” I took a bite of the taco and felt the crunch of the lettuce and the chewiness of the meat. I savored the explosion of flavors in my mouth. David dipped a tortilla in his bowl, chili spilling over the edge. “Maybe next time we should eat before playing. The smell of a Mexican feast in the air made it hard for me to stay concentrated on the game.” Rita dabbed some blood off the back of her right hand with a napkin. “
