I arranged for Hank to be my last patient of the day on Thursday in order to allow time for a discussion about the strange man. During previous visits, our conversations lasted longer than I expected, and I didn’t want to be late for another patient. After I drove to his appointment, I expected to hear him complain about being sore from our last session. I planned to give him the same advice I usually did: I expect muscle soreness after being sedentary for a while.
