As the student helper sauntered back to the pack of other kids, Manny cleared his throat and resumed his script.
“Students are each issued one of these netbooks the first day of school. They contain links to where they can download e-copies of the textbooks they need for each of their classes. The netbooks also come preprogrammed with the school’s homework and grading interface. The school is equipped with Wi-Fi and Internet filters.” Manny straightened and scanned the room again. “It’s a whole new ballgame in high school these days.”
The audience of alums laughed, and we settled in for his presentation.
