After we finished, Rowen paid the tab and left a hefty tip for Laurel as we went to leave. She stopped us before we made our way out.
"Trying to slip past me, young man?" Rowen smiled slyly at her remark.
"Thank you for everything this morning, Laurel. It was a pleasure as always." He answered.
"Always so formal, Ryan." She shook her head. "It's good to have you home. Hopefully, you'll stay awhile this time. Will you be bringing the Mrs. to the annual New Years Ball? It's supposed to be magical this year."
He smiled, "We might come."
"Well, I for one hope to see you both there." She winked at me, "I am preparing all the food and have a wonderful menu planned. I will be delicious."
She handed me a flyer promoting the event. All the proceeds will be going
