"What?" A scowl flashed across his face, and he dashed into the restroom.
There was no one in the restroom, but a line of blood-splattered lettering remained on the wall. 'Mr. Portage, despite our considerable societal differences, I would have no wish to marry you, goodbye!'
The calligraphy was immaculate and precise, highlighting the essayist's tenacity.
It had rendered Sebastian immobile.
Could his investigation lead to an incorrect conclusion about her?
He then made a request a few moments later. "Search the rear of the mountain!"
He couldn't let his mother have any second thoughts before she died.
Sofia discovered out how to escape away from the Portage family's hunt by sheltering herself under a thick plant at the back of the mountain, holding thistles and plants to get down.
She stayed till dusk and moved over the mountain to circumvent it.
She returned to the Lynn Home early the following morning. When Lincoln Lynn and Jade Sullivan encountered Sofia, they were taken aback and overreacted.
"You, how could you escape from jail?" Jade inquired with a clumsy articulation.
"Mrs. Lynn, I have been delivered after carrying out my full punishment," Sofia joked.
"You should not have come to our house. You're filthy and stinky, yet you're quite sharp! "Leave as soon as possible!" Jade pushed Sofia out of the house.
Sofia couldn't possibly try to check out Jade. She simply looked at Lincoln and asked, "Uncle Lynn, your family knew exactly why I was detained back then, correct?" Four days ago, you visited me in prison and informed me that if I followed the instructions and stayed with a person for an evening, you would give me a sum to save my mother. In this way, I stayed with that man, but my mother died."
Lincoln felt guilty, but said, "Everyone has their destiny!" I was benevolent and needed to save your mother, but she died too soon! "Would you ever blame me for that?"
Sofia screamed angrily at Lincoln.
She needed to dig her nails into her tissue so that she could eventually control her want to rush up to Lincoln and chew him to death. This is because she didn't have the capacity to investigate whether her mother's death had any relation to the Lynn family as of yet.
"Where was my mom covered?" she questioned calmly, gritting her teeth.
"Of course she was covered in the dirt graveyard back at your old neighbourhood!" Lincoln answered in hushed tones. For a long period, I have paid for your living expenses and schooling. Is it necessary for me to purchase a premium burial spot for your mother? Leave now, you dissatisfied individual!"
As Lincoln closed the door, he tossed a $1,000 bill and said, "This was for your administration that evening."
Sofia's heart was broken every time that evening was mentioned.
Even though she felt helpless, she raised her jaw and resolutely stated, "Assuming someone had to pay, shouldn't it be that man who expected to pay me?" There is no use for it now that he is no longer alive! Plus, I'm not a call girl! The explanation I promised you was, first and foremost, to preserve my mother, and secondly, to repay your kindness for supporting me. So, from now on, our obligation is fulfilled!"
Living under the Lynn family's wall for eight years was enough!
She would never be able to return to the Lynn family.
If she were to return, it would vindicate her mother.
Lincoln felt a dull agony on his chest as he saw a tired-looking Sofia take off from the house with such assurance.
Jade scolded him violently, "Why?" Do you get frustrated with her and her mother? Remember, Lincoln Lynn, she reviled my young girl to death! They were both born at roughly the same time. For what purpose does she get to live, whereas my baby died shortly after birth?"
"I... I'm not frustrated about her," Lincoln remarked. The most important thing right now is that she is no longer in jail. Assuming she realized the man she had slept down with did not die and instead rose to the top of the Portage family, we shall be in big trouble!"
"She didn't have the foggiest idea who she laid down with," Jade scoffed. What are you afraid of? The most important thing right now is to let Sebastian marry our precious princess. No one could threaten us again if Selene had Sebastian's child."
He murmured and added, "Old Expert Passage treats family foundations exceptionally in a serious way, I'm concerned that he would despise Selene for being our embraced little daughter."
Jade smirked with a dash of lunacy. "Detest? Sebastian is a misconceived child. He didn't have the qualifications to gain the power, but he figured out how to take control over the entire Passage Gathering for the time being."
"As long as Sebastian accepts that Selene was the young lady who gave up her innocence to save him, no one can stop them from marrying." Lincoln, just hope that our wonderful little daughter will marry into South City's most prosperous household and become Sebastian's significant other!"
Lincoln made a happy motion.
His regrettable feelings for Sofia faded abruptly.
Sofia had already walked more than 100 meters away at that point. Then, as she was about to turn onto the main street, a pompous dazzling red sportscar blocked her path.
Selene Lynn stepped out of the van in high heels and approached Sofia pompously. "Isn't this the poor lady who had been asking around our house for quite some time?" Sofia? How many men have you used and you still haven't showered? Your perfume is killing me. Have you returned to my house to inquire once more? In any case, you're now attempting to sell your body. "I'm not sure why you're still so tough... "
Slap! Sofia raised her wrist and smacked Selene across the face.
Selene soon had a reasonable five distinct finger impression all over her body.
She made eye contact with her face and sniffed her fingertips. They, of course, smelled.
She was filled with wrath and yelled, "You... "Are you going to hit me?"
Sofia's voice sounded hushed and worried. "It's incredible now─ you are similarly essentially as filthy and foul as me."
When she finished her words, she changed her mind and left.
Selene was taken aback by her quickness. Selene was so paralyzed that she didn't chase Sofia to battle.
Sofia went to the dirtiest and most dirty part of South City and rented a bed for a brief respite.
She needed to get a new job in South City in order to save money to return to her old neighbourhood, but no businesses would hire her because she had previously been in jail. She went via a cash to get a counterfeit distinguishing proof card and expected the character of Layla Youthful to find a new line of employment.
After a few days, she found out how to be hired as a waitress at a high-end restaurant under the alias Layla Youthful. Sofia was quite satisfied despite the fact that she got paid next to nothing.
Because of her focused, sweet, and delicate appearance, she was promoted after three weeks to be the waiter dedicated to serving the celebrity rooms.
"Layla, different from the entrance dining area, celebrity rooms were packed with prestigious visitors." As a result, you must be careful not to make mistakes." The director, who went by Sofia's alias, clarified for her.
Sofia made a motion and said, "I know."
After another week, she was doing well at work.
Several servers stopped by to see Sofia during her downtime.
"You're very lucky, Layla. You were promoted to serve the celebrity rooms in such a short period of time. In any event, with your height of 170 centimetres, small face, and long legs, not to mention a promotion to be the celebrity room server, you would have no trouble becoming an air attendant, model, or even entering the media."
Sofia pinched her lips together and walked away, her head bowed.
The couple's light grew brighter, but they were met with a cold response. So, despite Sofia's good will, they muttered, "Simply a server at the celebrity Rooms, so self-important!"
"She simply has a beautiful face, who does she assume she is?"
"I didn't think she was that attractive, maybe an attractive face at best, but her character was truly cold and standoffish." She has no cultural or scholarly background, but she is so vain!"
"She isn't arrogant; she simply doesn't say much, and she is dependable." If you don't believe me, have a peek... "
"Layla, my stomach is upset," one of the workers unexpectedly called for Sofia. Could you ever help in sending the dishes?"
Sofia made a motion. "Forget about it."
"My room is the Platinum celebrity Room on the third floor, much obliged!" When the sentence was ended, she dashed away.
Sofia went up to the third story, oblivious to the others' admiration. She took over the dishes from a waitress before pushing the door open and entering the room.
She had her head lowered and was focused on serving the plates when her wrist was grabbed out of nowhere. Sofia shuddered and turned her glance to the client. She was shortly rendered incapacitated.
A chilly, harsh visage with an oppressive and arrogant authority appeared in front of her face.
"How could you realize I eat here frequently?" Sebastian forcefully took her hand. His eyes flashed with a lethal intent.
