“And by the way before I leave I met an old friend of yours, you remember lawyer Anthony right? The person who was in charge of your grandfather's will, I don't know if you knew this but turns out I'm a part time owner of the company,did you know this? Judging from your face I guess you did,” Megan had planned her every move for one year, she knew everything she needed to know to hurt Lucas mentally and emotionally.

“ I don't know what you are talking about, why would my grandfather leave you anything, all this belongs to me,” Lucas sounded defensive which brought joy to Megan. He was right where she wanted him to be.

“ Maybe he saw the lust and greed on your face but that's a story for another chapter, you will be seeing alot of me Mr hubby, being partners and all, I'll be in your care,” Megan smirked as she existed the office stopping halfway through after hearing Lucas letting out his anger on his office.

“ Boss, what's going on, what happened,” Lucas' secretary asked all concerned,his boss was known to be very calm and composed. She wondered what would lead to him acting out.

“ Find me a lawyer, I want to get out off contract with Miss Veronica,”

“ Have you lost it? No one goes against Miss Veronica and lives to tell the story, why the sudden change of heart, this was the company's big break,”

Lucas knew what his secretary said was right, it was finally his time to boost his company to the top but why of all angels and devil that could have appeared to him it had to be her.

“ My daughter is looking like she just had a beautiful day, care to share with me, tell me everything,”

“ I wish you could see the look on his face when he saw me, priceless,” To Megan this was just the beginning if everything went according to plan she would successfully execute her revenge even if it killed her.

“ So what do you plan on doing, you've waited for this moment for long,”

“ It's a secret, don't want to ruin the surprise,”

After the encounter Lucas called his uncle who had given him the idea of using Megan to acquire the inheritance, if he was going into this war, he needed someone he could trust.

“ Are you sure it's her?”

“ Could I have been like this if I wasn't sure, we need to get rid of her, permanently,” Lucas was ready to walk the dark road to keep what he had fought for all his life.

“ According to what you've told me, she's not just anyone, if she's with Miss Veronica it's not going to be easy, she's a monster,”

“ Then what do you expect me to do, lie down here and watch that good for nothing woman take everything I've build,”

“ I'm telling you to work smart, she's not just anyone but as I remember she's got one weakness,”

“ And what could that be?”

“ You, she was so much deeply in love with you and women are known to care about their first loves till death, you are a master of seduction, use that,” His uncle was right, deep inside the fancy dressed woman he met was still that naive person he could manipulate, like how much could she have really change.

“ I don't know why I didn't think about that, uncle you are a genius, I'll schedule a meeting with her let's see how much she can resist my charm,” Lucas said smiling as he planned his next move.

“ You invited me to dinner like this, planning something Mr Lucas,” Megan knew something was up when she suddenly got an invitation to dinner from Lucas. He was definitely planning something and she couldn't help but get curious to see what he was up to.

“ I believe for old times sake we could talk our differences out, as you mentioned I'm still your loving husband,” Lucas said, reaching up to Megan's hand and caressing it.

“ How interesting, enlighten me, why the sudden approach, I'm curious as to what's going on in your head,” Megan said, drawing her face closer to Lucas.

“ Didn't you change yourself for me? I just realised that this woman you've become is worthy of staying by my side, isn't that what you wanted,” Lucas said and was satisfied at the impact it had created.

“ Now I'm worthy, you realise you hurt me so bad, you threw me out of our house on a rainy day with no shoes and nowhere to go,” Megan said as tears rolled down her eyes.

“ Look at the bright side, if any of that didn't happen, you wouldn't be the woman you are now, look at you, I big girl who the world fears,”

“ So, you still love me? You were just ashamed of me then but now I can stay by your side as your legal wife? Can I stay?” Megan said shyly as Lucas enjoyed the view.

“ Yes you can be mine, all mine and we will rule the business world together, just you and me,” Lucas said, drawing in for a kiss when Megan stopped it with her index finger.

“ You really didn't think it was going to be that easy now did you? Ooh sweet dear husband I'm starting to wonder how naive you really are, kiss and make up, that's your plan I thought you were smarter than that,” Megan said pulling away from his embrace.

“ Wait right now, you were just,” Lucas stammered in disbelief.

“ You are right, that's how you act, aren't you going to give me an award, I heard you had a thing for actresses, you disappoint me, let me tell you what, I was going to give you a chance to pull the first card but turns out you are not very good at this ‘i'm going to destroy you first game’ so it's my chance now,” Megan said looking directly at Lucas who could feel a chill run down his spine.

“ What are you going to do,”

“ It's not going to be fun if I offer spoilers, let's be fair shall we? But since you really want to know I'll give you a tiny little spoiler, find yourself a good lawyer, you got all the time to do so I've not decided what I should sue you for first. A, cheating and beating up your wife. B, paying a lawyer to change a will. Or C, murder,” Megan looked as Lucas facial expressions changed, the fear he was experiencing was pleasant to her.

“ You can't prove anything, you think that since you have someone backing you up you are a top dog now, to me you will always be pathetic,” Lucas responded defensively.

“You are so adorable thinking you can intimidate me like that twenty year old girl, hunny that girl is dead, what you are looking at now is a girl with no soul, no heart and got nothing to lose, you got everything to lose, take my advice, get yourself a very good lawyer, because the game has just began,”
