I ran through the rain while holding hands with Kayla.
It was the greatest feeling ever. I had missed holding her. I had missed talking to her. She giggled as we ran in the rain through the trees that lined the path.
"The ban is no longer far away. We're almost there," I assured her.
"Even if we have to keep running through the rain forever, I have absolutely no problem with that," Kayla called behind me.
I threw a glance backward and saw her smiling. I smiled too. I felt like a child. It reminded me of the first time I saw her, I could not stop blushing. Now I felt that same way.
Eventually, we spotted the ban. I led her to the front door. When I tried it, it was locked.
