"What will you do now that you have gotten your freedom? What comes next?" She asked.
Nana's question rang in my head for a while. It echoed over and over again as I pondered on what I wanted to do.
The plan had always been to get my freedom. At the time, freedom had seemed impossible and I had hoped for it, dreamed of it when days were bad. I had never thought beyond it because it had been all that mattered.
Today, I had finally gotten what I dreamt of for a very long time. I was free.
What was going to become of me now? What was I going to do with my time? What purpose did I have again?
The goddess had promised me this day. I had slightly doubted it when times got hard. It felt too impossible. But I guessed that nothing was impossible before her eyes.
