I froze as I heard Killian's voice. It was coming from somewhere close to us, within the trees. This meant that like his men, Killian was also close. My legs started trembling. I felt fear grip me. My lips quivered nonstop as my eyes darted from left to right. I fidgeted my fingers around as my intake of breath got deeper.
I remembered that I had been the one with the big talk about not letting Killian take me back but he had found me already. I was beginning to doubt my escape. Will I truly be able to get away? Will I get my freedom today?
