Eric's POV: I stood in front of my mother's grave, placed a bouquet of her favorite white roses, just like I always did, and started talking to her. I asked her what love was, if she ever loved Ian, and whether she thought of me in that last moment before the car crash. I told her about becoming an honorary teaching assistant, about how I'd managed to make a life for myself after leaving my father, and how I finally found Cheryl.
