Chapter 9: Deserved to know

Blaze’s pov:

I enjoyed those few hours that I had spend with Jeremy in the city, yesterday. I always had wondered how it felt to live freely, enjoying time with friends; explore new places with no fear. Like, I didn’t have to watch my every step as if I am walking on a thin layer of ice. Like other people, I also always wanted to have only one point of living, that’s happiness.

If I hadn’t had that dream I would have thought that I am finally free now. Finally, I will be able to like a normal person, if not forever but at least for a year..., but the originality I was living for a few days was a dream. I am glad my eyes were finally opened when I had closed my eyes to sleep.

The shrill voice of the alarm clock woke me up from my deep slumber. Groggily, I got up from my bed and walked towards my bathroom, to get ready for the second day of my school.

As the sprinkles of warm water touched my body, I started getting the flashback of my dream.

I have to meet Alpha.

Wrapping one towel on my body and drying my hairs with another, I went inside my closet to do the most difficult task, that’s deciding today’s outfit. Sometimes I think it would lot be easier if I was admitted to the public school of the pack instead of this private school where rich children never get tired of flaunting their money, that are not even earned by them.

Settling with a blush pink full-sleeved lace top and white skinny jeans, I exited the closet and let my hair dry naturally. Setting them back by a hairband I went to my study table to pack my bag. Wearing white belle flats and giving a last look in the mirror, I went straight towards my uncle’s office to familiarize him with my dream.

I was just about to knock at the door, but stooped when I heard some muffled voices. I know eaves dropping on someone is not polite, but I couldn’t help myself, and increased my hearing ability and focused on what is happening on the other side of the door.

As the voice was getting clearer, I found out someone is arguing with Alpha inside, but the thing shocked me was that the person was none other than Luna.

“Bin, I am telling you again, Tell me whatever you are hiding. I am your mate; I can say something is bothering you.” She said to him.

“It’s nothing Bella, I am fine. There is nothing to stress or worry about.” He replied.

“Bim, I am tired of you hiding things from me. Did you really think you would be able to hide things from me? Like really? I am Luna of this pack. Don’t you think I too have the right to know about what is happening in our pack?” She was frustrated; I can clearly tell this by her voice.

“I am hiding nothing from you, Bella.” He said in a reassuring tone.

“Oh, really, Then why did I get to know from gamma Lia that a week before some hunter spy’s came to our pack. When were you going to tell me about that, after the other human which you happily welcomed destroy our pack, then?” Alpha was about to reply but Luna, cut him off and continues.

“No, Not a week is over with that incident, that you allowed another one of them to live with us just by hearing her pathetic sob story.”

“She is not like them.” He retorted.

“How do you know it, It’s not she is descendant of someone we know.” She said curtly.

“See, I know-“He was about to say something but Luna interfered again.

“Bim..” She started; her voice was soft this time, “You are too kind for your own good. Hunters could be planning something big, cause it not common for a hunter spy to be captured. I don’t think is to safe for a human to dwell with us. You should send her away. You should think of our pack first and then humanity.”

“Bella, I am Alpha of this pack. I know what am I doing and this pack will always be my first preference then anything in the world and about that incident you are talking about was a mistake, and can be made by us all. Trust me I know what I am doing.” He tried to reassure her, but the snickering which left Luna’s mouth said she was anything but reassured by him.

I knew this commutation was because of me and some of Luna’s words struck deep in my heart. She was right, she is Luna of the pack, and Of course, she had all rights to know about me.

Thinking that this is time for me to how my presence, I knocked on the door.

After hearing a few whispers, I finally heard a ‘come in’ and with that, I entered the room. The environment of the room was so tensed for me and it was all because of the daggers thrown by someone’s eyes and the lips which were stretched in a forced welcoming smile. Alpha’s poker face was doing nothing to ease the density.

I shifted my gaze to and fro from Luna to Alpha and said,

“I know it’s rude to eavesdrop, but I accidentally heard the argument going here inside and-” I was unable to complete my sentence because Luna interfered me in between and retorted to Alpha.

“See I told you there is something wrong with her. Are still going to be ignorant? She heard our conversation with the closed door. This room is soundproof, no normal werewolf can hear us and she did, just being a human.”

“Luna, I..” I was again interrupted by her. She gave me a pointy look and said,

“Shut your mouth! You shall not interrupt when two officials are talking especially when they are more worthy than your weak asset self.” She gave me a curt look and started taking intimidating steps towards me and continued. “Because when they are angry they can surely rip your throat and make you bleed to death. I hope your mother or grandmother might have taught you about rules and regulation of this pack before they died and said to seek help from my mate I guess.”

This side of Luna was so curt that if I was actually a human I would have been bowing down my knees or would have taken steps back but as I was not, I was standing there and my eyes didn’t leave hers.

My wolf didn’t accepted her disobey towards me.

I was not wild with rage as I was trying to tame my wolf but I was fuming. If it would not of this bracelet that was still able to control my powers, she might be under my paws by now. Not dead but shivering with fears.

I am a royal blooded. I am the daughter of the Alpha, who has a mighty ancestral reign. I might be kind and calm but I know my wolf will never accept any disobey made by anyone and being and hybrid doesn’t help.

Luna still had her curt face and a pointed look, I can say as she doesn’t know my true self, she might be thinking me as a rebel amateur challenging her. Few seconds of staring hurt her ego due to which she raised her claws to slap me but was unable due to my reflex. Though she failed her attack, the disrespect she plated me was unbearable. My anger was clearly seen by my hold on her, which was so tight that she was squirming under me. I was so blinded by my rage that I failed to hear a gasp, scraping of the chair, and pleads came from her mate.

I don’t know why I felt content on seeing fear inside her eyes. Those eyes which were once throwing daggers at me are now pleading for forgiveness. I was taken out of my red bubble by a body that falls down on the floor on his knees and was begging for her mate’s life. The rage which was once clouded by my eyes was replaced by guilt and only one word was repeated in my mind.

Monster

I am a Monster.

I can never forgive myself for this. I have hurt the person who has treated me like his daughter and had given me shelter when I needed it. I cannot believe that the person who I respected next to the goddess is now begging me on his knees.

I immediately left Luna’s hands and helped Alpha to stand on his feet. I was so ashamed of myself that I was unable to hold my head up high and look into his eyes and ask him forgiveness. Tears of sorrow were flowing down my eyes and my hands were grabbed into his with my mouth continuously chanting for mercy.

“I am sorry Uncle, my wolf took over me. I am really sorry. I had no intention to scare your mate but the disrespect was too much for my wolf to handle.”

My babble of apologies was broken by Alpha’s strong arms engulfing me a fatherly hug, comforting me in his warmth.

“It’s okay, I am just glad you were able to tame her.” He said caressing my hair comforting me.

“Thank you, Uncle.” I managed to say between my hiccups, cleaning leftover tears through the back of my hands.

“Wolf? Your wolf? Aren’t you a human?” Luna’s confused voice brought me back from my sorrow.

“Yes, I am the only child and heir of Royal wolf pack.” I started, earning wide soccer eyes from her.

I completed telling her everything, from my father’s plans to how I reached her and was able to hide my identity. When I finished, I saw regret on her face.

“I am sorry Blaze,...” She started but I cut her off and said,

“Its Okay Luna, there is nothing to apologize. I understand you, pack always comes first, and whatever you did you thought that it would be best for the pack and it was also my fault for not telling you prior. Please forgive me for hiding it from you and most of all harming you. I am so sorry.”

“Of course I forgive you.” She said and with that, she embraced me in a hug.

“So Blaze,” Alpha started. “Did you came here to tell me about something or by hearing a voice?” He asked.,

“No, I got another dream last night. So, I had come here to inform you that.” I replied.

He was going to ask Luna to leave the room but I interrupted.

“Its okay Uncle, Let aunt be here too.”

He nodded so I started...

Fun Fact: From this chapter, I lost all my drafts. As I was writing it all again, It took me two weeks to write this alone chapter as I was so frustrated and angry that I had to write my further five-chapter again.
