It is Friday, and Blaze is ecstatic knowing that it’s been a week since she left her pack. A week has ended, without her father manipulating her in doing certain things and without her killing someone. No doubt she is happy.
It is also the last working day of the school for this week, making her more excited knowing coming two days she’ll be away from a very specific boy, not that he was doing anything to her, but his smell and aura is still something that she hadn’t figured out yet and is making her irritated. Never in her life had she felt intimidated, so it was too much for her to bear, and now his beautiful face also is distracting her from her motives by popping in her mind then and there.
‘Beautiful? Ugh, not again!’ She thought.
Many things were going well now, new! But adjustable. The only thing she is worried about is, she still has yet to figure out the meaning of those lines. Those beautiful rhyming lines are still a mystery. She is now sure about one thing, that’s she has to go back in her old pack to bring a bundle, but what the goddess meant by ‘bundle’ is still unknown for her. As far as she remembered, she only owned few pieces of clothes which were replaced every month, makeup products, some stuff for painting, and a piano that her father gifted her when she complained about her growing boredom. So, she owned no bundle.
Sighing in irritation, she furiously packed her bag so she can leave for the school. She had already heard the doors of the twins’ room opening and closing earlier, so thinking they left, she didn’t bother to knock and Jeremy rarely stays here at night, so she directly walks downstairs for the breakfast.
On the way to the dining hall, she had a feeling that there was something off in this house. By now everyone should be up and should be having their breakfast, if not, the hallway should be full of teenagers, laughing and giggling with each other or pack workers cleaning the floor or dusting the decorations, but there was no one in sight. She was confused and scared, wondering if everyone was okay as this was far from a normal day. Not thinking about any further thoughts, she raced to the Alpha’s office. Strange for her, it was empty too and moreover a mess, as if a hurricane had attacked in, making her more confuse and petrified for her pack mates. More devilish thoughts entered her mind,
Did my father found about me?
Is this pack under attack? But why didn’t I hear a thing?
Not knowing what to do, she increased her hearing strength to the maximum so that she will be able to track someone. Still, she was unable to hear anything. Everywhere was just a pin drop silence. If anything she was hearing, was her beating heart and speed of the blood flowing through her veins. She ran around the mansion in search of anyone who can tell her about the sudden disappearance of everyone in this house. Suddenly she heard murmuring of people, she was still not able to pinpoint who it is, but knowing there is someone in here was more than enough for her, so she darted towards it.
The voices were coming from the left side of the mansion. When she was given the tour, she was notified that very confidential meetings are held in here and rooms around here are completely soundproof that not even an Alpha can’t hear a frequency of sound wave coming from inside. That explained to her why she was only able to hear some murmurs that too here and there.
Though she knew all confidentiality in here at her back of the mind, the adrenaline had already taken over her consciousness, so without further thinking of anything further she slammed the door open.
Now, over 300 pairs of eyes were on her, and the murmuring which was continuous in here, all stopped. Though there were so many eyes on her looking at her panting self weirdly, she didn’t care about anything; she burst out crying, just by knowing everyone she adores is safe. Relief washed over her. All the confusion, horrors, anger, and frustration flew out by those tears.
On the other hand, Alpha was startled by her sudden appearance and crying figure. He bolted towards her with Luna, twins, and Jeremy following him on his tail. They were too worried about her and were wondering why she was crying. They all were scared and kept on assuming their own imaginations of sinful happenings, happened towards her.
Reaching where she was bawling out, Luna immediately sat beside her, pulled her into her own arms, and tried consoling her.
“Everything is okay, Blaze. Why are you crying? Did something happen?” She asked, caressing her hair, and wiping her tears.
Blaze was about to reply when suddenly Bertha came in panting towards Alpha and exclaimed in panic,
“Alpha, Blaze is missing. She is not in her room and...” She stooped when she saw Blaze’s crying face and gasped,
“Blaze? What happened?” She said and sat beside Luna looking her teary face warily.
“I- I tho- thought” She was trying to complete but because of her hiccups, she was unable to finish her sentences, so Alpha stopped her, and asked an omega to bring her some water.
Drinking the full cup, Blaze finally explained,
“I was scared. When I left my room for breakfast, I saw no one there. I thought something happened to you all. I thought he found me.” She completed but again burst out crying.
Because of all her emotions, she unknowingly disclosed a bit about her past, but Alpha Bimwatt noticed it and covered it for her before anyone could be suspicious about it.
“No humans had entered this pack Blaze, everyone is okay.” He said.
For a second, Blaze was confused about what alpha was talking about, but soon she realised what she did, she furiously nodded in reply to others, stating she is now okay, relieved knowing no humans are in here.
Now standing up, Blaze wiped her teary face and asked Alpha,
“Why everyone is here, Uncle?”
Rouge had attacked the pack in the midnight, adding up worries they also were found deep inside the pack area. Alpha Bimwatt knew if he dropped this bomb directly on her she could have a panic attack. It is the first time he is seeing her in such a vulnerable state, he couldn’t even imagine how hard she had gone through that can make such a strong girl like her shiver in fear just by thinking deeds of her father. So he thought to take easy and only familiarise her with partial truth.
“There was just a small rouge attack in the pack.” He said then immediately added, “No one is harmed and nothing is damaged, they were seen before anything could be done but they flee before we were able to catch them.” He completed.
Blaze nodded in understanding. It was a relief for her knowing everyone is safe. If anyone was harmed, she wouldn’t be able to forgive and would have blamed herself for it. After all, it’s her father who is the evil one in here. If he didn’t spare his blood that is his own daughter, he would care less about these people. Though she is not sure if this attack was done by him, but knowing her father, she can say it could be planned by him to track her smell.
“Why didn’t you inform me to come here?” She asked wondering if they wanted to hide this from her.
“Of course we did! We asked Bertha to bring you here, but I think you left before she came.” Luna replied to her and looked at her in disbelief knowing what she was thinking.
Though legally Blaze is not part of this pack but almost everyone had accepted her and had welcomed her warmly. Like every other case, there are always some people who are against her living with us, but who can defy Alpha’s order?
Someone in the Back said that they should continue the meeting. Blaze saw the watch and it was time to leave for the school, they were running late and now there was no time for breakfast but she didn’t know if they were going in this situation so she decided to ask Alpha about it.
“Uncle, are we going to school today?”
“I don’t think you should.” He started but Stephan cut him off and said,
“Dad, she just had started her academics, that too at almost the end of the session and it not even has been a week since she joined us. She can’t take leave. She might have a bad impression on the teachers.” He completed. Stephanie and Jeremy also nodded in favour, agreeing what he said.
Alpha Bimwatt was not sure if he should send her school alone, but knowing her leave can affect her academics, he didn’t have any choice but to send her.
“I think you should go to school. Ron will take you there, and make sure to have something on the way.” He said to Blaze and motioned Ron, his driver to take her to the school.
Blaze wanted to oppose his decision in sending her school alone but thought against it. After all, she is just a weak human; she does not have anything to support the statement but little did she know Alpha had made sure she is guarded and not alone.
