Chapter 4 : The First day

Blaze’s pov

I have not socialized with many people....wait! Who am I kidding? I had never socialized with anyone until I did now. My first ever proper conversation was with Alpha when I first met him. Apart from that, I only had bits and bits conversation with Ronald and sometimes dad. This is the sole reason why I am nervous today. I had never been between a group of people, but now I am going to be between a herd of students.

I woke up with the beeping of my alarm clock, I had always though I am a morning person until now, I know I have to wake up and go to the school, but I just want to wrap myself in the blanket like a burrito.

After snoozing the alarm twice, I finally went into my bathroom to finish up my morning business.

After washing myself with warm water and my lavender scented soap, I entered my closet to change into some suitable outfit for the school.

Weather was same as yesterday, so I settled with a black and white checked sweater top and paired it with black winter leggings. It was full-sleeved collar top reaching just above my knees hugging my curves perfectly, I also wore a black belt around my naval button over the sweeter so that it won’t look too plain, and a black ankle boots increasing my already long height by an inch.

As for makeup, I applied the cocoa butter moisturizer, mascara darkening my eyelashes, and transparent lip balm on my naturally red lips.

I never remove my bracelet and the locket, so it is my accessory including a small black heart-shaped earring. I curled my hair in waves so that I look bit presentable as they were bit frizzy as I had washed them yesterday, and then with that I was ready for my first day.

I was packing my bag when I heard someone knocking on my door, I thought it’s Stephanie, waiting for me to come and join breakfast but instead, Bertha was standing there waiting for me.

“Hi, good morning.” I greeted her.

“Good morning Blaze, All the best for your first day and you are looking very pretty. I bet boys would be kissing the ground you walked in.” She said playfully ending it with a wink.

“Thank you” I was never good with the compliments, so her words made me blush a little.

“Why are you blushing? I didn’t say anything embarrassing” She said and started laughing which made me blush more.

That’s the main drawback of my pale skin, you’ll be easily able to see reddening of my cheeks.

“Ok, so actually I came here to inform you that Alpha wants you to meet him in his office” She continued and I told her I’ll be there in a minute and then took my bag filled with notebooks, checking again if I had forgotten something or not, then finally left my room and went towards his office.

“Alpha you asked for me?” I asked him standing at the entrance of his office

“Yes Blaze, come here.” As I entered his office, he opened the drawers and took out a small velvet box and passed it to me.

There was a small diamond-like gem inside it. I was confused so I asked him ‘what it was’ and he replied,

“This is a mind linker, as you are not in our pack you won’t be able to mind link with us, so if you wear this gadget you will be able to mind-link with me as I am wearing the identical one.” He showed me a platinum ring that had the same thing attached in the middle.

I took it out from the box and attached it at the end of my moon locket from where it connects with the chain.

He smiled at me and said “It will take a day or two to connect with mine’s but as soon as it will connect, you will have a weird vibrating feeling for a second, and then you’ll be back to normal.” I nodded in understanding and he gave me a polite smile and said,

“Good luck for your first day.”

“Thank you alpha” I replied and turn to exit the office.

“And Blaze...”

“Yes?”

“From now you can call me uncle and my mate aunt.” Hearing this, tears made my eyes bit glassy, but refusing them to fall, I smiled and replied to him.

“Okay ...Uncle”

With that, I exited the office.

Twins were already sitting on the dining table with their breakfast accompanied by a very beautiful blond lady probably in her early 40′s. Her hairs were neatly put in a bun and her dark green eyes were looking into my pale green ones and her pink lips were stretched in a smile.

“Hello Blaze, I am Sarabella, Bimwatt’s mate.”

“Hello, Luna” I said with a smile.

“I am extremely sorry that I was unable to meet you yesterday. As soon as I came back from my mother’s house I had to go to the females’ pack meeting and when I get back I was so tired that I went to sleep. I am so sorry honey.” She said with an apologetic look and held my hand.

“It’s okay Luna. There is nothing to feel sorry about.” I replied shrugging as it was no big deal.

“Didn’t Bim said you to call him uncle and me aunt?” She asked me, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion and a slight of anger in her eyes.

“Yes, he did.” I replied, bit confused.

Why is she asking me that?

“So please call me aunt”

Oh!

I nodded shyly and then sat on the dining table, between Stephan and Stephanie.

Stephan was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans with a leather jacket giving a bad boy look whereas Stephanie was looking cute wearing a baby pink baggy quarter sleeve sweater with a blue jean and a long locket and bracelet as an accessory.

Cook had made vanilla waffles with chocolate sauce and chopped strawberry on the top which I devoured happily, chattering with each other.

After completing our breakfast we bid everyone our goodbye and then headed out towards Stephan’s car.

We all were quietly walking to the car, with me and Stephanie side by side and Stephan walking behind us but he suddenly started laughing out of nowhere.

We stopped on our way and turned to him asking if he was okay, but he kept on laughing out loud like a dying hyena.

“What happened? Why are you laughing like a manic?” Stephanie asked in an irritated plus worried tone.

“You are wearing long heels....bu-but still you are just able to reach Blaze’s shoulder.” He managed to say between his laugh.

I stretched a smile and walked to stand in front of Stephan, and now it was Stephanie’s turn to laugh.

“Tsk Tsk, oh brother I think you should start taking growth pill else no sooner she’ll tower you.” She mocked him and continued laughing.

Stephan was 6 ft and I was wearing one-inch heels it made me almost of his height.

Stephanie was not very short but 5.3, since she got her mother’s petite figure she looks perfect.

After our little fun, we sat in his car and he started driving. Stephanie took the shotgun and I took the passenger’s seat.

As more and more we reach near the school, my anxiety started reaching to the top level and my heart was beating loudly. It felt my heart didn’t slow it’s pace it would burst in my ribcage and it broke it into pieces. I bet the twins would be able to hear it beating due to their strong hearing sense.

“What happen Blaze? Are you nervous?” Stephanie asked me.

“Ye-yeh a bit?” I did answer her question, but my answer came more like a question due to my bit nervousness.

“No need to be, it would be just like your old school, there are only five werewolves else all are human like you.”

Only if she knew.

“Actually, I was an invisible nerd of my school, so you know.... Um, you said I’ll be with you, um the popular’s’.... So it’s making me kinda nervous.” I chucked nervously at my lie praying they would buy it. Thank goddess I had read some novels which is helping me with my lie.

“Holy s**t, how anyone can ignore you... I mean aren’t you too pretty to be ignored?” this time it was Stephan and Stephanie nodded in support.

I just shuddered in response to that as I forgot to lie and in nervousness I may lie wrongly.

Bad choice of words, I know because now I can’t even think properly, my ability to think is lost because of my nervousness.

“Oh, c’mon you’ll be fine” Stephanie comforted me for a few mins till I am a bit relaxed and the rest of the drive was silent, only songs were playing on the radio. It took us twenty mins to reach school.

Did I forget to say I am actually nervous to go to school?

As I came out of the car, a two-floored very brood bricked building came in view. It was huge and fancy, there were many cars lining in the parking whose names I didn’t know but by looks I can say they were expensive. As I was wandering my eyes at parking, I saw Jeremy, just two cars away from ours.

All my anxiety dropped down and a smile took over my face.

“Jerry” I called him.

When he heard his nickname given by me, there was a frightened look on his face for a second but when his eyes stopped at me a scowl took over his face.

“What’s wrong Jerry, why frowning?” I went near him and fake pouted.

He just rolled his eyes in response and ignored my existence.

“You know him?” Twins ask me together while walking towards us.

Twin telepathy yaay!

“Yes I know him; he is the one who saved me from being freeze to death, my knight in the brown vest, my hero.” I said dramatically and encircled my arms around his neck and forced him to a hug. He was of the same height as Stephan so it was a bit easy for me to do so.

As per as deal we made that day, now I can irritate him how much I want, and he have to be patient with me.

Great Nah?

As I released him from my hug and looked towards twins and I saw their jaws touching grounds confusing me. I looked behind my back seeing if there is unicorn but when I saw nothing I asked them.

“What happened?”

“Um, J-Jeremy never allowed anyone to touch him, and you?”

Stephanie shook her head, as if she was digesting the picture of us in her head, and continued.

“Um... Leave it, I think we are getting late, we should go to our classes.” She said with a smile and there was no need of a Sherlock to say that the smile she gave was not a fake one. I wonder what happen to her suddenly. Like, she was in a normal mood when she was in the car.

“You all can go to your classes; I have to take my locker number and the time-table from the office. So I’ll be back.”

“May I accompany you?” Stephanie asked.

“Oh no you both can go, Jeremy will accompany me, right Jerry?” I don’t know why but I wanted to be with Jeremy, I felt safe and still preferred him over anyone as it felt if someone was telling me to be with him.

Jeremy sighed but nodded, I took his hands in mine and was ready to go but didn’t miss frown on Stephanie’s face and she was looking.....at our intertwined hands?

Why is she frowning?

I looked at Stephanie and then looked Jeremy and then....ohoho, I immediately snatched my hands away from his as soon as I realised.

“What?” He asked, startled by my behaviour.

“What” I replied innocently.

“You.. I mean... snatched han.... - nothing” he stuttered and knitted his eyebrow in confusion.

“Oh! You want me to hold your hand, Jerry?” I showed some fake innocence, teasing him.

Don’t judge me, I am still faithful to my mate, he is just fun to tease.

He just glared and said nothing, he kept walking but this time a bit fast. I saw his tip of ears and neck turning red, oh my-my, he’s blushing. I wanted to tease him but kept silent knowing it’s not the right time and he can get angry.

I followed him to the office took my locker no and my Schedule and went out of the office.

“So what’s your first class?” he asked

“English”

“Same, c’mon there is still five min for first-class.” He said and asked me to follow.

We walked towards school building and as we entered all eyes snapped towards us making me dizzy.

“Jerry, why everyone are looking at us as if we are from another planet?”

“Because they never saw me walking with a girl alone and now I am walking with a girl who is clinging to my arms.” I looked down and saw I had unintentionally wrapped my arms around his biceps. I looked at him with wide eyes but did not remove my hands from him.

“Remind me not to be with you alone but for now, take me away from these people then I will remove my death grip.”

He throws his head backward and laughed at me but as he noticed my death stare his laughter decreased to chuckle and then he took me to the class.

I sat beside him waiting for the teacher to come but........

What’s happening to me? What’s this feeling?
