Chapter 1: The Escape

BLAZE’S POV

I was pacing to and fro in my room thinking what to do, how to escape my father’s viciousness.

“No, I won’t allow it....this is not right, what about my mate? How could my father do this to me, doesn’t he love me?” I asked myself. I had no one to talk, no one to share my tears with, not anymore. I didn’t know what to do; Anger was the only emotion in me, and just somehow I wanted to stop the time so that I would not turn seventeen.

Pacing, I stopped by my big window. The cool breeze was blowing my long brown hairs to its direction, the sky was clear and the last phase of the moon was shining in the dark sky, with millions of star illuminating.

Remembering the conversation of Alpha Rudolf and my father brought tears in my green eyes which dropped down from from them to my pale cheeks and then to the ground...

“Please moon goddess, help me, I don’t want to do this sin. Help me....Please!” I pleaded her, like I do every other night, hoping she will hear my prayers and will finally take me away from here.

"BLAZE MOON SEORA go to sleep, it’s already late." My dad mind-linked me.

"Yes Dad!"

Dad was not that cruel or abusive towards me, but is always controlling. When I was younger, I believed that whatever he was doing is to protect me from the eyes of evils, but after hearing their conversation, I got to know that he is the one who is evil and I should protect myself from him.

I could’t help myself but cried due my distress, my helplessness. Crying my eyes out, I finally went into my dreamland.

I felt as if I was falling down.

As I tried to open my eyes, my eyelids were so heavy that I was failing miserably to do so.

I wanted to scream but my mouth was sealed, no words were coming out from it.

Finally when I touched the bottom, I could’t help myself but again fell in a deep slumber.

Getting in bit of consciousness, I found myself sleeping on something very soft, like a cloud. My bed was comfortable, but not this comfortable. Opening my eyes I looked around to guess where I was, I saw I was actually on a cloud.

Sitting up straight, I saw a lady with platinum blond hairs, facing her back towards me.

“Excuse me?” I tried to get her attention.

As soon as she turned towards me, I was shocked by her beauty. Her pale face was in complement with her blond almost white hairs and a very light blue gown. Her silver crown had a blue glowing moon. She was just like we had imagined her to be.

“Moon goddess?”

“Yes my dear child.” She said showing a very beautiful smile engraved on her pink lips.

“You came here to help me?” I questioned her, though I know she would. My eyes were brimming with happiness with the thought of escaping.

She smiled to me, nodded and said,

“Listen to me carefully and do follow it.” I nodded at her in response and she continued,

“The thick snow bed will camouflage you to escape from the eyes of evil.....

Following the only star in the no moon night, will help you to escape to an, another pack. Hide their for a year, try to be civil and keep your identity hidden with the gift which is about to be given, till your path is clear.”

She paused for a second and asked me if I got what she said and then continued,

“Under your bed, there is a silver box, open it and you will find two things, a silver crescent moon locket, which will hide your wolf smell and a bracelet with three charms. The first charm is identical to your locket which will help you to control your human shifter, the second one is a half heart. The other half of this charm is with your mate and as soon as you will mate mark him and join the other half of this heart heart, the last charm i.e., the dove, will glow and you will unbind your wolf’s powers and can fight against your father’s rage.” She completed

“But who is my mate and how will I find him? What if dad found me before I turn eighteen and fail to sense my mate?” I asked her.

She smile again and said “I can only guide you dear, you by yourself have to plan and fight for the truth and...I trust you.”

A shrill voice of alarm woke me up from my sleep, the memory of my dream came back in my mind and guess what today is my 17th birthday, that means I can be mated and I know that day will be tomorrow and I, Blaze Moon Seora will never let it happen...

After getting deeper inside the moon warrior’s territory, I was able to smell a beta werewolf who was quite far from here.

“Now it is the time for my plan to execute!” I said to myself.

I quickly changed into a turtle neck green sweater, a thick grey jacket over it and paired it with warm leggings covering my long legs.

I am 5"11, which is a benefit for me as it helps me to have a long vision. I can say I am attractive than a normal werewolf as I have a white wolf gene giving me a power to seduce someone if necessary, but I know first I have to learn this art to use.

I wore my moon necklace and the bracelet, and waited for the beta, who was coming nearer.

Oh! He is his son, great..... Easy to please.

That’s what I thought before seeing him.

When I saw him, I was confused. By the distinct looks at his face, it didn’t seem that he was patrolling, he was in his own world. His dark brown hair was flowing with the wind, his mind was inspecting the snow bed beneath him as if it’s a puzzle he is trying to solve.

Though the snow is opaque and no one can see through it, those chocolatey eyes were looking so distant, that the person buried seven feet under it would have been feeling the holes dug by that look, and there was also a slight frown on his pale lips. I wondered what was bothering him and just wanted to go to him and ask what is his mind, but chose against it as I already had my cup of enough problems to solve.

So I ran towards him and started acting,

“Um hello, I am lost can you please help me?” I acted innocent, playing my games carefully.

He was startled by my sudden appearance but as soon recovered he folded his arms in front of his chest and asked me,

“What are you doing here? I have never seen you before.”

“Yes, I am not from here but from the city, I was passing by, but my car broke down. I tried to walk straight on road but due to the storm I lost my way and it feels as if I am walking since eternity.” I whined.

I was literally tired. My stamina was giving up and if I didn’t rest soon I would definitely pass out in no time.

His brown eyes look deep into my green ones but he nodded at me in response and asked me to follow him.

I guess the necklace is working.

“Where to Miss?” He asked as soon as we left the woods.

“Brimwatt Alpha”

“What?” he stopped at the track as if I asked the way to his heart.

“Um..... Brimwatt Alpha?”

“Why?”

“I have some things to discuss with him.”

“What things?”

“What is it to you?” I asked keeping my hands on my hips.

“Have set an appointment?” He raised his eyebrow answering me with a question.

“Actually no, but it is very urgent and I didn’t have much time left to set an appointment so.-”

“So you came here thinking he would be free and be waiting for you to come and discuss your urgent matter, forgetting the town’s business?” He said cutting me off in between, raising now both of his eyebrows.

“I know he is busy man but, I just want to try my luck...”

“I think you should not try any luck and I can be generous to drop you at the nearest hotel and will book your bus ticket back to your city”

He started being more aggressive and now he was getting on my nerve.

I wondered why he is acting if he’s the Alpha.

“Excuse me I have nothing left with me; Mr. Alpha is my only hope”

“He is a businessman, not Charity provider.” He fired back.

Thank you dear goddess, for this lovely bracelet else he wouldn’t be alive by now.

I didn’t want to talk to him rudely, but now I think he doesn’t deserve my kindness.

“I asked you to give me way to Mr. Alpha’s house if you are willing to, not to give me the advice. It is up to him, to help me or not and he will decide it.”

“And if he didn’t I’ll be the one to kick you off from this place.”

“And if he helped me you will do whatever I say. Deal?” I replied

“Whatever” He responded ideally and then lead the way.

What did I do to him to earn this enmity?

For the rest of the walk, we remained quiet and after fifteen minutes of walk finally a big five-floor mansion’s gate was standing in front of me.

He opened the gate and I entered with him to the hall were Alpha Brimwatt was sitting on the couch with other officials of the pack, discussing something.

“Good morning Mr. Alpha.” He bowed his head as respect and then continued. “This young girl wants to talk to you and ... no, she doesn’t have an appointment.” He said then sends a teasing smirk my way.

Oh Moon goddess, give me a reason not to kill him, please...

I gave Alpha the best innocent look I can and said,

“Good Morning Mr. Alpha, I am sorry I came here expecting to meet you without any prior notice, but believe me it is very urgent, else I won’t be here to bother you.”

“What’s your name dear?” He asked warmly smiling at me.

“I am Blaze, Blaze Moon” I decided not to disclose my surname in front of everyone.

He looked at his watch and then said,

“You are lucky I don’t have any meeting in an hour, you can discuss whatever you want with me.”

“Um, can we please talk alone?” I requested. She said me to keep it secret and only to disclose it to trusted one, and I tend to keep it.

He saw me with his blue gaze for a few seconds with a confused and analytical face, but he eventually nodded and guided me towards a room near to hall which looked like an office. After excusing himself from the officials.

He sat on the chair behind the table and said,

“Please have seat Miss Moon”

I sat on that chair in front of him and before exposing myself, I sensed the room to see if there’s any camera or security.

When I found none, I informed him, “The world’s peace is in danger Alpha.”

Fun fact: Blaze was going to seduce Jeremy to make her way in the pack house but I decided against it as I wanted to make her pure
