Amber POV:
She hung up the phone. She was actually going to do this. She took a deep breath. For you mom she thought. It took only an hour or so and someone was knocking on the door. That must be the dress he had mentioned. He must have known that she didnt own anything that would fit the occasion.
She opened the door and an older woman stood there holding a garment bag. Amber Whitlock? she asked. Amber nodded. The woman stepped into her apartment. This is from Mr. Blackstone, my name is Janet” and handed her the bag. “Go try it on so we can make the final alterations. Amber just nodded and headed for the bathroom.
She opened the bag and inside was the most beautiful wedding dress she had ever seen. She stood in a breathtaking plus-size boho lace ball gown that seemed woven from winter dreams and timeless romance. The gown’s elegant A-line silhouette flowed effortlessly from the waist, skimming her curves before cascading into layers of delicate lace that drifted around her like a cloud. Intricate floral patterns traced across the fabric, adding texture and depth to its ethereal beauty. Long lace sleeves embraced her arms with graceful coverage, lending an air of sophistication while softening the gown’s regal presence. The design balanced classic bridal elegance with subtle bohemian charm, creating a look that felt both refined and free-spirited. Every detail appeared tailored to her form, celebrating her figure rather than concealing it, and as she moved, the gown shimmered with quiet confidence, transforming her into the very picture of grace and beauty.
It was almost a perfect fit. She wondered if Micheal knew her size well enough from their night together. .his hands had been all over her body roaming and caressing. She pushed the thought aside and stepped out of the bathroom. Janet stood with a pin cushion on her wrist and was ready to make the final touches. She smiled as she saw Amber. You look wonderful, she stated.
Janet was quick at her job and in less than 30 minutes the dress was a perfect fit to her figure. Janet helped her undo the buttons on the back and she stepped out of it. Amber put her robe on and Janet put the gown back in the bag. As Janet was leaving she turned and looked at Amber. “Mr. Blackstone takes care of his people.” and walked out.
Amber had no idea what to make of that. This was just a business agreement; they both got something out of it. She brushed the thought aside and went to lay down. As the night ticked by she found she could not sleep. Too many thoughts about the next day and if she was doing the right thing or not.
