Their Expectations

Manny's Diner

AVA POV***

    Adam starts to drive as he starts playing music. I realize I should probably  tell someone about what happened in the woods, but I'm scared that he will look at me differently. "Hey Ava what's wrong?"

    I turn to face him. "nothing I'm just thinking?" I say trying to smile. "About what happened in the woods?" I turn so I can face him. "How do you know what Lucas did?" his eyes widen. "What do you mean what Lucas did?" I begin to panic. "wwww-what nothing happened ww-with Lucas." he pulled the truck over on the side of the highway, he parked the car and looked at me. "Ava what happened in the woods?" he gave me a demanding voice. "Nothing Adam drop it, please." "NO AVA IM NOT JUST GOING TO DROP IT, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED IN THE WOODS?" 

    "HE TRIED TO r**e ME! ARE YOU f*****g HAPPY? HUH?" he looked at the steering wheel. "HE FINGERED ME WITHOUT MY PERMISSION" he then turns me and looks mad. "what did you just say?" "nnn-nothig please just drive." I began crying. He took the car off of park and put it on drive and started to drive. I just wanted to go in a hole and stay there forever.

    ADAM POV***

    I'm going to kill Lucas. He's f*****g dead, how could he do that to a girl. This is not just any girl. It's Ava my little sister's best friend, who we've all grown to love. I'm driving and I turn to see Ava crying, as she pulls her knees to her chest. I don't know what to do, at this point I've never dealt with anything like this before. 

    "Ava I'm sorry i snapped at you earlier." I say as we pull into my drive way."It's ok Adam." she says. Before I could say anything else, she gets out of the truck and walks into the house. I quickly call Matt, he's been my best friend ever since first grade when i first started playing baseball, we were on the same team. "hey Adam what's up?" "Matt I need your help with something, are you back home in Moondale?" "yea actually I'm pulling in my house right now, just come to my house my mom would love to see you." "Ok thanks I'm on my way right now."  I begin pulling out of the drive way when look to dawn window to see Ava crying as Dawn comforts her. I don't feel bad about what I'm going to now.

AVA POV***

    After telling Dawn what had happened, she told me to take a shower while she goes to get my emergency backpack out of her car. I begin to undress my dirty clothes. My white shirt is covered in dirt, and my hair is also covered in dirt and leaves, I begin pulling them out, and throwing them away in her trashcan.

     After that I begin taking off my shirt, after my shirts off I turn to the mirror and see a bunch of hickies, that trail down from my neck to my stomach. I look at wrist and see a bruises that looks like a hand was wrapped around my wrist tightly. I'm crying I feel so disgusting in my own skin, I feel like a cheap w***e. I take off the rest of my clothes and hop in the shower. I begin to scrub my body with the loofah Dawn gave me. After scrubbing my skin till its practically red. I put shampoo in my hair and start to scrub my scalp, I begin to rise my hair when look at the bottom of the shower and see dirt. I rise the shampoo and put conditioner in my hair.

    After I'm done with my shower i call Dawn to get my clothes she isn't answering so I open the shower door to see Adam not Dawn. He looks me up and down and I feel my cheeks turning a bright red color. "Adam where's Dawn at she has my bag." he looks at the bed and I realize my bags there. "can you give me my bag? Please" he looks me up and down again."Actually I don't think I can, I'm enjoying the view quite nicely." he says as he starts to laugh. He walks towards my bag and grabs it and hands it to me. "Thank you Adam." 

    "No problem" he says while walking out of the room. I go back into the bathroom and change into my black Leggings, and my tie dye hoodie. I reach into my bag and grab My low thigh Nike socks, then I brush my brown wavy hair, and put it in a bun. After that I walk out of the bathroom and see Dawn standing at the door. "My mom wants to talk to us." "o-ookay is she mm-mad at me?" I ask scared. "No Ava you're fine she just wants to talk."

    I nod as we start to the kitchen where her mother is cooking dinner. Her mom has light brown curly hair, she has pretty blue ocean eyes. "Mom" Dawn says as her mom turns towards us. Dawn sits down at the island as her mom hugs me. "Sweetie I'm so sorry, your parents and brother have treated this way. If I would have known sooner I would have let come stay with us a long time ago." I begin crying as I hug her back. "Ava sweetheart you can stay here as long as you want, don't worry about anything." "Thank you Mrs.Fitzgerald." she begins to frown. 

    "Ava I told you to call my mom or Isabella, I hate being called Mrs. Fitzgerald." "what do you mean you hate being called Mrs.Fitzgerald? Isabella?" "Dawn's father walks in from the living room. Dawn's father has black hair, with dark green eyes. "I hate it because it make me sound old, but not from you Mr. Fitzgerald." she says as she walk up to him and hugs him, while her left hand smacks his butt. "you're going to pay for the that, Isabella." He says as he smacks her butt. "Oliver the girls are over there." she says as they both look us, while Dawn and I are trying to avoid eye contact.

    "I know they are over there, if they weren't I would have bent you over the kitchen table and fuc-" "Okay bye mom and dad have fun, playing patty cake, me and Ava will just go to Manny's diner from dinner, Bye." I start to laugh.

    Dawn and I start heading out the front door as I forgot my wallet. "Oh dawn I forgot my wallet, I'm going to go get it." Dawn turns to me. "No Ava its fine I'll pay let's just go, I'm starving." I laugh as we walk to her car.

    she starts her car and rev's it, and speeds out of the neighborhood. She gets a call from Adam and puts it on speaker. "Hello". Dawn answers the call. "Dawn why didn't you tell me mom and dad we're f*****g in the Kitchen, I just walked in there while dad was thrusting in mom." "Sorry, I thought you left." she says laughing.

   "well yea I just go home, wait where are you at?" he ask. "me and Ava are going to Manny's diner. You want to join us since the food, at the house saw something horrific and are scarred for life." he laughs. "yea I'm coming right." "Ok bye". she says and hang up. She parks in the front. She always parks in this spot she comes here so often that she basically owns the parking spot at Manny's diner. 

    We walk in and see Anne. "hey girls, you guys want the usual spot?" "yes Anne please and thank you." Dawn says. We have been coming here ever since sixth grade when dawn was crying because she got dumped from her "Boyfriend" and wanted milkshake to drown her sorrows, ever since that we have been coming here almost ten times a week. we sit down. "you girls want the usual, two manny's burgers with fries, ranch, and a strawberry milk shake and a chocolate?" she ask. "Oh can we also get Adams, order also please." Dawn ask "sure coming up". 

    We see Adam and Matt walk in. "Oh and Matt's order also Anne, thank you." "no problem Darling." Anne says as she walks away. "Hey Guys did y'all already order?" he says as he sits next to me in the booth. Matt sits next to Dawn as her face becomes a bright red color she's had a crush ever since middle school.

    "Yea we also order your meals, also." I say as I see dawns too busy looking at the walls. "Thank you, Ava". "Yea no problem. So how was Mexico?" I ask them. "It was really fun, we were staying in the penthouse, because we got an upgrade because our toilet was leaking, and me and Adam tag teamed this ho-." Adam started to cough loud, Matt realized he wasn't suppose to say anything. Dawn and I starting laughing. I stopped laughing when i saw Derek enter the Diner.
