My home and place of business were on the east side of downtown Dallas in an area known as Deep Ellum. The neighborhood was home to hundreds of artists and entertainment venues. On any night of the week, I had my choice of rock, reggae, jazz, or gothic, not to mention, hip-hop, and blues. One can find anything they desire in Deep Ellum, and I’m not talking music, tattoo parlors, or restaurants. This part of Dallas lives on the edge. When the sun goes down, anything and everything comes out to be a part of the action.
