Chapter 11: Guilty until proven innocent

I was still seated at the computer at the nurse’s desk going through all the test results of Rose and some other patients when I saw some of the warrior coming into the hospital. One of them speaking to Iker quickly and I saw him taking the place at the door. Iker came closer to the nurse’s station and walked to stand in front of me. "Alpha sent new warriors to release us for a while, but I am not comfortable to leave Rose alone, I am going to wait inside the room until Alpha returns." I thought it was so cute of him to inform me even when I know it wasn’t needed. "Sounds like a good idea babe, I am just updating some patient files and then I will join you. I would like to be close when anything happens." He bended over the station and gave me a kiss on the head. I continued to update the files when Grant stormed out of the room the two guards standing at the door following him. This was strange but Iker was still inside, so I did not give it to much attention. After I was done, I went into Rose room, I did a quick examination looking at all the readings and I could see an improvement in her stats. I looked at Luna she suddenly looked 10 years older. I walked around to stand next to her and placed my hand on her shoulder. "Luna she is stable, and I can already see improvement is all her stats, why don't you go take a shower and something to eat, you cannot survive on honey tea only." I knew that she will probably not want to leave. She only looked at me and shook her head. I could only give her a weak smile. "Let me at least then get an omega to bring you a change of clothes and food. You can shower here and then eat some food." I suggested and she nods her head. I tried to mind link one of the Alpha house omegas, Lilian she was one of my and Rose's friends when growing up, she was also a wonderful cook and went to chef school. She always wanted to serve the pack and then came back to run the kitchen staff. It was very weird that I could not get her, I decided to try another one of the omegas but again no answer. I decided to mind link my mom to ask her if she perhaps know what is going on in the Alpha kitchen and where the omegas were. Elaine, what is wrong honey I heard her voice in my mind. Mom can you please check for me on the Alpha kitchen staff, I was trying to mind link them, but I can't get through. I need a clean set of clothes for the Luna, some toiletries and food. I said through our link. Sure, honey I will do that for you. I closed the mind link and went to Iker sitting on the couch I lay down and place my head on his lap, he automatically started to play my hair and I allowed my body to relax as I was about to give into the sleep, I heard a commotion. I immediately jumped up and rushed to the door. What I saw shocked me for a moment. Iker wanted to get out, but I reminded him that his duty is to protect the Luna and future Alpha. Once I stepped into the hall, I could see some warriors throwing around furniture some even rounding up some sick patients. No way this will not fly in our hospital Athena was ready to attack. The group of warriors was getting closer I quickly ordered my nurses to protect the patients in the ICU. "Lock and barricade the doors if needed." I decided to stand my ground in Rose's room door. The first warrior that reached Rose’s room was Greg, "Move I don't have time for your games little girl" he spat the word out. Iker was standing behind me within a second not impressed with this low-level warrior insulting me. I mind linked him quickly Iker the Luna and future Alpha, I can handle myself remember." First” I looked Greg in the eyes. “You will address me as doctor" I hate it when people referred to me as doctor all my patients called me Elaine, but this little dipshit will not disrespect me. "Then secondly, you will not enter this room or any other ICU room" He smirked at me "And who will stop me?" he walked to the nurse’s station and through all the equipment and files onto the floor, tempting me to react but I stood in the door making myself as big as possible. "Now either you move, or I will force my way inside." he said in a deep husky voice. I was not backing away from this fight. He started to push past me, but I did not move, the pushing continued and soon we were full out wrestle match between us. The next moment I felt a sharp pain in my side. When I looked down, I sway a scalpel stuck in my side, the asshole must have been able to reach one from the doctors trolly next to the door. Oh no he didn’t just do that Athena was furious and so was I. Against my better knowledge I took out the scalpel and force it as hard as I could straight into his shoulder. He stumbled back and this gave me enough time to close the door and lock it. Iker was furious and I ran to him needed him to be calm enough to protect the Luna and Rose. Luckily by the time I got to him my wound was already healed, guess that was the true alpha ability I liked the most, we healed a little bit faster than the normal wolf. "Iker, I need you to do your job, I need you to calm down." placing his hand on my side so he could feel that my wound was already healed. We quickly tried to barricade the door, but it was too late as more warriors turned up and was attempting to break down the closed door. Luna then suddenly got up from her position her Alpha aura strong and reflecting off her, Iker bow his head submissively as the room was consumed by her power. She opens the door the warriors all stop immediately and submit to her dominance. "What is this about? Why are the warriors of this pack destroying this hospital? Who send you?" No one answered her. "When I ask a question, you will answer?" she demands, then Grant comes into the room. “I ordered this as per the challenge that took place today, I am now the ALPHA of this pack." he said with a smirk. "You will never be the Alpha of this pack. Not over my dead body" Luna spat at him. "Is that a threat?" he knew very well it was. "Arrest this woman, as she just threatened your Alpha's life." He ordered one of the warriors. Protect Rose at any cost Elaine, do not let him mark her. Her voice was clear in my head and with that I saw them take her away. Grant coming closer to the room. "I gave you an order" he shouted at the warriors, round up all pack members, every single one. There will be a pack meeting in front of the pack house in 10 min. "Doctor" he held his hand to the exit as if he would like me to join this meeting. "There is no f*****g way I am going, and you are definitely not my Alpha. You are some power-seeking ass..." before I could finish my sentence, I felt his hand slapping my cheek hard. Iker that was standing between me and Rose quickly abandoned his post and lunged at Grant. Grant jumped out of the way just in time and within seconds 7 warriors was holding Iker in place. Grant walked over and started to punch and kick him all why he cannot defend himself. I tried to intervene, but it was useless. Get inside the room lock the door, keep Rose and yourself save. You don't need to see this. his voice sounded weak in my head, Athena could feel his pain and howled in my head. I backed away back into the room and before I closed the door, I heard Grant say. "You Iker Cobalt are sentence to death for poisoning the future Luna of this pack."
