Garrett and Taylor dashed through the rain, their shoes making swishing sounds as soon as they hit the grass of Garrett's lawn. “Hurry, hurry,” Garrett urged in a whisper as they reached the bottom of the ladder to the treehouse. He looked over at the kitchen door, but it was too bright outside despite the rain to see anything but the yard’s reflection in the glass. Thankfully, Taylor took no time to climb the ladder and get out of sight. Garrett quickly followed suit, practically leaping up the ladder in his hurry not to be seen.
