The Wall Street Journal ran the story on Wednesday morning. Not buried in the business section where scandals usually lived but front page, above the fold, with a photo of me leaving David's office looking exactly like what I was—a man watching his empire crumble in real time.
"Hedge Fund Manager's $50M Marriage Bet Exposes Toxic Culture Among Manhattan Elite" the headline screamed. The article was worse than Page Six, more detailed, more damning. They'd interviewed former employees who confirmed the boys' club culture, women we'd dated who described patterns of manipulation, even a few clients who were "reevaluating their relationship with Vaughn Capital in light of recent revelations about Mr. Vaughn's character."
