God, I wanted that. They’d both been so careful with me last night. I knew why. I knew it was because I was a beta, so I couldn’t take the full force of an alpha’s passion like an omega could. Not without being hospitalized.
But part of me, the dark part of me that answered the heat in Mason’s eyes, didn’t want safe… it wanted to see him cut loose. Wanted to see them cut loose and show me all the power and dominance of an alpha without constraints.
themMason didn’t give in to temptation, though. With a full-body shiver, he pulled back and straightened up. His eyes lightened to their normal blue as he eased himself away from me.
“The boss has spoken,” he said with a small, teasing grin. “We’d better hop to it, or he’ll be in here with the whips and chains.”
