chapter 10

SAMS POV

I was sitting in the passenger seat of Levi`s car, in the school parking lot. My heart was sinking. He had just said the two words that I never thought I would hear come from his mouth. "It`s over" he had said with an emotionless tone. We had been together for three years now. Why was he doing this to me? We vowed to be chosen mates and to be married when we graduated high school.

"Why?" I asked, my voice shaky as tears stain my cheeks, "why are you doing this?"

"It is simple really, you now have your fated mate, Hunter, and I would now like to move on to find my own mate!" he said as he shrugged his shoulders.

"I told you, I will reject him, I don't want him, I want you!" I am pleading for him to listen to me. I`ve never been so vulnerable in my life. I was a warrior, one of the best I didn't cry ever.

“You don't really want to reject him deep down, you know that piece of S**t is more powerful than us all, it's why we`ve all made fun of him, teased him and tore him down. We beat him to keep him broken. So go be with him. I don't want you any more” he hissed as a sudden anger crossed his face. 

I took one last look at Levi before I got out of the car and ran into the building. I ran to my locker and hid my face inside. I needed to pull myself together before anyone saw. No one can know of this weakness. 

“Um…Sam… Are you…Uh…are you okay?” Hunter's soft timid voice cuts through my thoughts. I wipe my tears and face him. 

“I..Yea..noooo! I`m not okay!” I forced myself to say through my sobs. Fumbling with my words as I said them. 

Hunter offered me an ear and I broke. I told him about Levi and I. I threw myself in my mate's arms as deep down I knew it would help calm me. My wolf prred in my head as Hunter accepted us and held us close. I heard different bells to let students know that classes were beginning and ending. I didn't care, I was here right now at this moment, this moment with a man who could possibly love me more than anyone else ever could if i just gave him a chance. 

After what felt like a whole day of school, I felt Hunter shift his weight under me and set me on the floor next to him. I forced myself to look up at him. His eyes were soft and full of worry. His hand on my arm was soft and comforting. I reached up and touched his face, I smoothed my thumb across his lower lip. Staring into his eyes, I leaned in and kissed him. I felt his body stiffen before he finally relaxed and kissed me back. I touched his lips with the tip of my tongue gently to coax him to open his mouth for me. Seconds passed and he obliged, he opened his mouth and I explored his mouth with my tongue. He tasted so sweet, as if he'd been eating strawberries his whole life. 

I'm not sure how long our kiss lasted but it was heaven. I pulled away panting, trying to catch my breath. I opened my eyes to look at him, when I noticed a girl standing above us with the most hurt look in her eyes. Did he have a girlfriend that I didn't know about? So? I am his mate. I come first. The mysterious girl stared at Hunter for a moment then ran off. Hunter looked back at me, shock in his eyes.

“Why did you do that? I mean it was very nice, but why? We both know you`re going to reject me, so why kiss me?” He asked, his tone was gentle and calm. 

He knew I didn't care for him at all, but that was when I was with Levi. Now I am free and I can explore my feelings for him. Maybe we could take things slow and see where it goes as mates. But then again, he already thinks I am going to reject him, so maybe i should just play it off as sadness. Yes! That is what I will do. 

“I uh, I`m sorry, I`m not sure what came over me, you`re just so kind and I had a moment of weakness. Again, I'm sorry” I said, looking down at my fidgeting hands. He takes them in his, turning to face me, sitting on his knees. 

“Look, I know you`re sad and hurting, but maybe kissing isn't the way to get through this.”  He placed his finger under my chin and lifted it so I was now looking into his very sexy green eyes. “You don't have to reject me now, I know it would hurt you even more than you already are. But I do understand why you want to and when you're ready I will accept.'' His words broke my heart more. I barely knew him and yet his kindness was breaking me. My wolf whimpered in the back of my mind.  Please don't reject him, ever,  he is so kind.  She whispered. I knew she had a point. After all the abuse he had gone through at the hands of this pack, he was probably the kindest person there. 

I leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips. Then quickly pulled away. 

“Thank you for your kindness. I know I of all people do not deserve it. I am sorry that I have to reject you.” I say as I get up to walk away. Leaving him sitting there alone in the hall. 

ANNAS POV.

As I got off the floor, Warren walked through my door, slamming it behind him. 

“What are you doing here?” I spit as I got to  my feet. 

“Well, James came back from checking on you and told me you weren't happy with my marriage proposal, so I decided to come down and see why.  Anna, you lied to me” he said, inching closer. His tone was scary, quiet. 

“I didn't lie, I have never liked James, you know this!” I hissed, backing up as Warren is now right in front of me. He grabs my throat and lifts me up. 

“Then you shall marry me and bear my children!” he seethed through his teeth. I struggled to get out of his grip. 

As I struggle, he slaps me hard in the face. My cheek stings, I can feel the heat radiating from where I know his hand print is left on my face. Tears formed in my eyes but I refused to let him see them fall.

“I WILL NOT!!” I screamed at him as best as I could with the little air he is letting into my lungs. His hand tightens and his eyes flash blood red. Again he smacks me, this time releasing my throat and letting my body fly across the room. I hit the couch and tumbled over to the cushions. Before I can stand again, Warren has ahold of me again, this time by the hair. He slammed me to the floor, climbing on top of me, so he was straddling me. 

“Little girl, you don't have a choice and I will see to it that you don't!” He ripped open my shirt and began to caress my breast. 

“ No ! please no!” I cried as the tears fell and I pushed against his chest. “Please don't do this”. I continue to push against him, this time thrashing my body. He punched my face this time. I can smell the blood. He busted my lip open. He grabs my hair again and drags me to the bedroom where he ties me to the bed. I am stuck. My only hope is to put up enough of a fight that he just kills me. I continue to thrash my body around and scream when he hits me again, then grabs my chin hard. 

“Scream again and I will cause you more pain than death itself!” he warned. Letting go of my chin. “Now lets continue shall we?” he said as he straddled me again, taking one breast into his hand, massaging it gently and the other in his mouth. I fight back a moan, as my body betrays me and gets tingly and hot, he moans as he plays with my breasts. Tears are falling freely now. Please, moon goddess, let this be quick! I feel his hand slide down my body and onto my pants, he releases my breasts. I opened my eyes to look at him. 

“Well, now these are just in the way my dear!” he pulls off my pants and then undresses himself. I cant help but look at his enlarged member and it terrifies me. I slam my eyes shut as I brace for what's to come. I felt him once again touching my body this time. He's between my legs. I go to clamp them shut when i feel a sting on both thighs from where he just hit them. “Dont ever shut these legs to me, you are now mine! You didnt follow orders, then you complained about a wonderful life I had offered you. Now I am taking you and deciding things for you. And my first decision is you will become mine!” 

“Please just let me go and I will bring you Hunter just as you asked! I will bring him today!” I take, I need to get out of this some how. 

Warren paused for a moment as if pondering my words, my offer. After a few moments, he chuckled and reached for my body again. “Here is how this is going to work. I am going to take what I want from you now and then you will deliver Hunter to me by 6pm sharp and then I will decide the rest of your fate.” he said with a crooked smile. 

“Wh…wha…what is it that you want from me?” i barely managed to choke out.

“I want to taste this sweet little virgin p***y of yours,” he said as he rubbed his fingers up and down my folds. My body trembled. “Seems as though your body wants this too.” again he smiled. 

“Deal! You can taste me, and then let me go and I will bring you Hunter by 6pm!” I blurt out in desperation!

I feel his tongue against my folds, slowly and gently forcing itself past my folds. It enters my core, Warren moans as he pushes his tongue in and out of me. I hiss as my body tenses, i feel so dirty and ruined, yet my body is being pleasured. I shut my eyes and wait for it to pass. Warren traces his tongue around my swollen c**t, then pulls away, “you taste so sweet” he growls as he inserts a finger inside my now dripping wet core.

“What are you doing?” I shrieked! “The deal was a taste! Nothing more!” 

“Well, simple, I changed my mind. I want it all!” 

Suddenly he added two more fingers and was thrusting them in and out hard and fast. He was relentless as my core tightened, his tongue was back on my nub, sucking and nibbling. i screamed out as my whole body tensed and tightened. An orgasm washed over me. I began to sob again as this would be my first time ever. I was losing everything and my body was betraying me. Warren licked up every drop of my juices, moaning the whole time, while I cried. “Wake up Anna.” I heard Warren say gently. Had it all just been a nightmare? 

“Anna, come wake up, you need to get cleaned up for school. You are two hours late.” 

Nope, none of this had been a dream. He pulled the covers off of me and pulled me out of bed and led me to the bath. Why couldnt he have just let me alone, given me my task and then been on his way? I guess his overreaction and cruelty is why he is the next heir to the demon throne. Soon enough, I was showered and dressed. I had to wear a scarf to conceal some of the bruising on my neck and I had to get a little heavier with the make-up to make it look like i was just tired. With my aching body, I walked out the door to school. 

When I got to the school building, I caught the scent of Hunter and relief instantly washed over me. I knew that in the next few hours spent with him I would be safe! But I also knew that i needed to save his life and tell him the whole truth about who I was. I needed him! I awkwardly ran into the building, ignoring the pain in my body. As I ran through the halls, his scent got stronger. I rounded a corner to be stopped dead in my tracks. Hunter was on the floor, embraced in a kiss with another woman…my numb heart hurt, my wolf howled in my head. This can't be! I watched in horror. The kiss broke and the girl looked at me and then Hunter looked at me. His expression went from dazed and confused to hurt, right back to confused. At that moment, I forced myself to just run. Today was too much!
