I ran down the main road of the packs town, looking for anything that resembled a drs office or an emergency room. At this moment I can Honestly say I wish I would have walked around town a bit more, then maybe this wouldn't be so hard. I stumbled into a group of kids chatting outside of what looked like a small cafe. I stopped about six feet away from them. Whatever conversation they had just been having came to a very abrupt halt the second I stopped walking.

“Hello , I was wondering if you could point me to the pack doctor?” I asked timidly.

One of the girls glared at me. She was very pretty, she had jet black hair, with hazel ish colored eyes. She wore a light blue off the shoulder long sleeve shirt hung just below her butt, with a pair of black leggings and a black belt resting loosely around her waist. She was stunning.

“Why would I tell a rogue where our pack doctor is? Like hed care to help you!” she spat in my face. I peeled my eyes away from her and looked at the ground. I wasn't a rogue but I also wasn't in this pack. Her dislike for me was justified I guess.

“I…it isn't for me, I…it's for a friend who is a member of this pack.” I said not taking my eyes off the ground.

“Well this friend should have come with you and shown you where he needed to go!” she retorted.

“I'm sorry I disturbed you, I will just leave” I said trying to just get away from this whole group of people.

“Sam come on don't be so mean! She may not be pack but we can at least show her how to get to the dr” a boyish voice sounded from behind the girl he had just called Sam, but I didn't look up to see what he looked like.

“No really it's ok I will figure it out” I began to walk away. I had only gotten a few steps away when I heard Sam speak again.

“Goddess, pathetic mutts! Why must they come to our pack and waste our time? Anyways back to Hunter…” she said her tone changing to a soft sweet tone. “I don't think I am going to reject him, I think I am going to give him a chance!” I heard her say, my heart sank, how could he be seeing her if he knew we were mates? My head started spinning.

“I don't know why you'd even waste your time on a low life like him. You know everyone in this pack despises him right, that's why he has no friends. He's only damaged goods by now, the way the Carters and alpha have beaten him!” I hear another girl say. Lucy loses it in my mind and I black out as she takes over. All I can hear now are screams and growls.

SAM'S POV

I was standing on the sidewalk discussing the night's events with my friends when the new rogue of the pack came up to us. She asked for help and I saw no reason to help her as she did not appear hurt at all. It wasn't that hard to find the pack doctor after all, he was only two blocks down. She annoyed me so much.

I've seen her hanging around Hunter quite a bit since she got here. Why was she here and why was she all over my mate. My friends started talking as the girl walked away shyly, I remained focused on her for a few seconds as I told my friends I was debating giving Hunter a true chance. I mean what did I really have to lose? One of them said something that I didn't quite catch when suddenly the rogue growled and shifted.

Her wolf was beautiful. I was in awe at how such an annoying girl could have such a beautiful wolf. Her fur was pure white, like snow. The tips of her ears, tail and her toes were dusted in what looked like golden dust. Her eyes, oh my goddess her eyes, they were the most brilliant shade of crystal blue. She looked like something straight from the heavens themselves.

Before I could process beyond how beautiful her wolf was I heard snarls from behind me. They broke me from my trance!

"Stop!" I yelled! Thankful no one had moved since shifting, this was insane. "Shift back now! Everyone! Let's talk calmly about this before anyone has to get hurt!" I demand from everyone, but no one listens. The rogue snarled at me. I could tell she was ready to attack but I wasn't sure why. “B***H please, im the best junior warrior we have in this pack, cool your tude and shift back, id hate to get your blood on me, especially when your trying to help your dumb friend!” I shouted at her, I was getting annoyed that she thought she could even be a match for me. I looked at my friends and they immediately shifted back.

The rogue stared at me for a moment more before she finally shifted back. And the second her bare feet hit the ground she was stomping towards me and within seconds her face was inches from mine! What the actual hell does she think she's doing this close to me?

“YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TALK ABOUT HUNTER THAT WAY! HE DESERVES BETTER THAN YOU! You will never be able to understand and care for him as I can! He is my mate, leave him alone!” she screams in my face as her body shakes with rage. What had my friend said that I missed that upset her so much? And did she just say he's her mate? Um what?

“He isnt your mate, he is mine, why you would lie about him being yours is beyond me.” I tell her as I gently push her out of my face.

“No he is my mate, we met a week ago when I started school at your school and began living in the pack territory. I knew instantly that he was my mate!” she said. A week ago is when he and I learned we were mates.

“I found him to be my mate a week ago. How can he have two mates?” I ask, trying to make sense of things.

“Its impossible for wolves to have more than one mate are you really that dumb? Sam is obviously his real fated mate!” John, one of my friends said from behind me. For a few minutes there I had forgotten that they were there.

“You guys leave, I want to speak to….this rogue alone!” I tell them as I wave them off. They all wave, and walk off together without argument, thank goddess.

“So your Hunter's mate as well? Do you happen to know he's missing then?” I ask the rogue crossing my arms over my chest.

“He's not missing, he's at my house. I found him passed out in the woods earlier tonight, that's why I was looking for the doctor, so I could get him checked out” she said weakly now.

If this was true then I had to help her get to the doctor and then back to hunter so that we could finish our date and hopefully he could tell me that she was lying to me this whole time!

“Fine Ill help you to the drs but I am also going to your house to see Hunter as well!” I tell her as I push past her and start walking to the doctors clinic.

The doctor was closed by now but I knew that they always had a staff at the clinic in case of an emergency. When we arrive Anna and I walk in and we both explain our sides of what happened tonight. The nurse calls the doctor on call tonight and tells us he will meet us back at Anna's house where he can examine Hunter for himself. With a sigh we leave. After another 15 minute walk we are standing in front of her front door.

I can smell Hunter inside, but he smells off, his scent is almost musky. Why did his scent change? He definitely did not smell this way earlier. Why now? What happened to him in my car? If Anna was his mate did she notice the scent change to?

Anna leads me to the bedroom where Hunter is and opens the door. Our eyes meet and I let out a screech! There was a man on the bed but it for sure did not look like the Hunter I was coming to see! What the hell happened to him? I couldn't even begin to describe how he looked right now besides terrifying!

Ambers pov

In two days we leave for the alphas meeting. I know it will be busy there but I am hoping that I can connect with Anna and finally get to HUnter and explain everything. Josiah has been busy in his office all day the past few days preparing. I asked if I could help him but he shut me out. That was unlike him, but it was also a very welcome change. This gave me my own time to plan.

I am sitting in my office looking over the event plans for the weekend of the alphas meeting. I notice a few gaps in the events for the lunas and attending females. I would have to reach out to Anna and see if we could make this happen. Once I had Hunter him, Anna and I would all have to run. We would have to get out of the Golden moon pack and we had to stay away from Crimson blood. There was only one pack that I could think of that we could run to and be completely safe.

That however would take more phone calls and possibly more time to arrange. It had been a long time since I had seen my family, the royal family. We had a falling out when I ran off with NIcholas and refused to be with Josiah. My parents did not agree with my decision and disowned me, or at least I think they disowned me. I haven't spoken with them since, and now I may have no other choice but to call them and ask for help.

With a sigh I pick up my phone and dial my mothers number. It rang three times before there was an answer.

“Hello?” my mothers voice rang musically through the phone.

“Hi mom” I say in the weakest tone, barely a whisper.

“Amber?” her voice hitched in her throat as she clarified it was me.

“Yeah mom, it's me.”

“Oh honey where have you been? I've been worried about you?” I could hear the tears in her voice. Maybe I should have tried harder to keep in touch.

“Mom I've been okay, but I was wondering if once I got Hunter back if he, his mate and I could come to the royal city and stay for a while?” I ask not wanting to drag out this conversation.

“Well I'll have to ask your father but I don't see why you couldn't, you are our family, but who is Hunter?” she asks, I forgot that I never called her to tell her that she had a grandson. I mentally face palmed myself.

“I will explain later, mom. Just please talk to dad soon. This is really important.” I try my best to sound super urgent.

“Okay sweetie i will, when should we expect you?”

“This weekend some time, I will call when we are on our way”

“Okay”

And with that I hung up the phone. I had other things to get in order before we left. This was about to happen, I was going to get my son back. I couldn't be happier. He deserved to know the truth and the whole truth. He deserved to know how much his father and I truly loved him!
