Chapter Six
The shuttle bay was full of people. Daniel saw several people from each department. He walked in a straight line in front of everyone, like a drill sergeant. All he was missing was an army helmet, and a switch.
“All right. I’m sure all of you are aware of the severity of our mission. We must extract enough minerals to repair this ship. We do not want to abandon this mission. So, we need enough to repair the ship to explore the entire system, including a planet, and make the voyage back home. Understood?”
Everyone was silent. Daniel took that as a yes.
“Each shuttle will get five crewmen. Two Science Officers, an engineer, a security officer, and a pilot.”
Daniel turned around and began walking the other way. He enjoyed walking back and forth. It made him feel important.
