Chapter Twenty-Three Phillip crossed the red wire with the blue wire. Nothing. Black and red. He waited for a few seconds. Nothing. He couldn’t cross black with black. The connection was dead. Instead, he had to jumpstart it by crossing wires. It would either jumpstart the alternator, or it would electrocute him. Neither happened. He scratched his chin, then crossed the green and red. Sparks flickered to life, scattering all over the interior of the engine compartment. Phillip laughed. Then the electricity fluttered out until it shocked him. He convulsed, then dropped the alternator. “You all right in there?” Ben asked.
