Someone cleared their throat behind her, and she spun around guiltily. “Princess, you must come with me,” Olaf said hoarsely. Allegra nonchalantly straightened her dress, as if she had been disheveled by the wind. Something was certainly afoot, and Allegra feigned indifference. Chancellor Olaf had never deigned to speak to her before, yet here he was, unannounced and looking like his knickers were ablaze. “Where are my parents?” she asked, moving into her room from the balcony. “They are needed to make the palace ready for battle.
