XARION'S POV "Megan, wait!" I call out again, my voice echoing down the corridor, but she doesn't slow down. If anything, she walks faster, her heels cracking against the stone floor like gunshots. I shove through the thick wooden doors and chase after her, my chest tight with frustration and guilt.
