XARION'S POV I've been trying to sleep for hours, tossing and turning, but every time I close my eyes, all I see is Megan's face. So I gave up around 2 AM and dragged myself to my home office, hoping that drowning myself in paperwork would distract me from the chaos in my head. It hasn't worked. I'm currently staring at a stack of reports about border security, pack finances, and training schedules, but the words blur together. I can't focus. Can't think about anything except how I can get to her. I lean back in my chair, rubbing my face with both hands. This is pathetic.
